I Saved Over $140 Thrifting This Yarn!!

If you enjoy yarn hauls and thrift hauls, I have a video for you! I've gone to my favorite thrift store and gotten some great deals on thrifted yarn. I found Debbie Bliss, Rowan and Malibrego yarns. This yarn haul if full of thrifted yarn bargains, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed thrifting it. I saved over $140 on this yarn!

I’m in the Midwest US, and here, lots of people go thrifting, regardless of income. It’s just a fun thing to do and potentially find both bargains and vintage!

Great yarn haul! I love finding yarn bargains. The only thing that worries me is bringing bug infested yarn home. However, I have no problem putting all my second hand yarns into a large bag and into my freezer for a few days. I always smell my yarn before buying. 😁🧶 Thank you for sharing!

I agree! Precautions should always be taken to protect our “yarn investments” that’s also why I’m so particular with smells. I don’t want anything to transfer. Thanks for the tip!

You should definitely give it a try sometime! But, I will tell you that I usually strike out attempting to thrift yarn. This is just an exceptional thrift store! Keep me posted!

Wow! You got the motherload! You're going to love that malabrigo! It's one of my favorites. One of the first yarns I ever bought was a malabrigo yarn found at a salvage store. I also discovered, and bought, a lot of Cloudborn Fibers hanks at that same store. I think I eventually bought all they had for $3.99 a hank. Great find.

@ShannonTalksYarn according to Crystal at bagoday, that Patons classic wool is great for felting. Have you done that yet? It's fun and easy.

@Dawna-loves-yarn No I haven’t yet! I think it’s one of those things that seems intimidating but then once you do it, you wonder what held you back, if that makes sense. It feels very “wooly” and natural so I bet it would lend to felting…….
