I wanted that cat sooo much growing up. I remember my friend letting me borrow hers for a day and I really loved it. Could never afford one for myself though, now I'm kinda glad. Years later however we ended up finding a white stray cat with blue eyes who is so much more worth it.

My mom and brother are both allergic to cats and we really wanted a cat, so she got us both this. I have so many stories of this robotic demon cat. I didn’t know how to turn it on for a good 2 days but my dad found out how after the second day. we played with it a lot but by the next week we all forgot abt it (it was in my closet for some reason) and this was when I would have a decent sleep schedule but I was a light sleeper as a kid so I was scared for my life. The reason why was bc the robot cat Demon thing turned on at 3 or 4am out of no where and it had a water damaged voice box so it wasn’t meowing, is was screeching. But because it was muffled by my closest I thought I was someone screaming. My 7y/o self was literally shaking with my little light up watch thing I was obsessed with for some reason, walked up to my closet only to find the cat there. The next day I was scared of it so I through it to the back of my small closet thinking it was gone forever. Time skip a week, the poll where I had my clothing hanging off of fell down on to the cat and it turns on again but the voice box was basically broken in half. I thought there was a demain in my closet again but no it was just the car looked like some good old ROADKILL SCREECHING LIKE A DEAMON. I ran it over with my bike like 5 times then through it into the garbage outside of my house 😃👍

So many weird memories, as I had a handful of those "robotic pets." One of the furreal dogs (or something like it?), it could do backflips, and nonstop barked. I might have had one of the cats, or a knockoff. It basically just functioned on a variety of buttons, like a backplate, to do the meows and stuff. Then I had a Roboraptor. I was so excited as a kid, had saved up my money, waited for it to go on sale... only for it to basically take an entire cabinet of batteries to work for 15 mins and barely scrape across the floor. So disappointing. The best "robotic pet" I had was actually this tiny little robot dog I got from a fast food box. It still works nearly 20 years later, barking and walking. It's about as intelligent as a little roomba, cause it would even back up if it hit something

I had one of these as a child. It would meow and when you pet it, it would react (it was button activated, you could feel where the buttons were on the body through the shitty fur). It ended up turning into more of a decoration as I grew up, and my brother started to shake it's head every time he saw it. I remember having the walking dog version of this, and another cat model which I can’t remember was the same brand or not (but it was posed differently to this one and literally only walked on it’s flashy leash). I remember most toys like this were up my grandmother’s house - and as a kid I would walk the dog-on-wheels around and my grandmother would be made to tag along with the cat, and I giggle at the memories of her bitching over the cat and how exceedingly slow and disgustingly awkward and annoying it was. I love you grandma, your complaining was gold and this video takes me back.
