a therianthrope is someone who internally identifys as a animal, either physocolgy, or spiritually. a spiritual therian would belive they have a past life, but physocolgy therian would base it off of the animal behaviours and urges they experience therian do not belive the are physically a animal but internally. a big mistake that people get is they have the theriotype as the prounouns theys identify as. this is NOT true, let's say your prounouns are he/they but you are a therian hope this helps @macdoesit !
