😂 I did too! The engine seems tight though, runs good. We’ll see where the oil is coming from soon enough.

I really don't care about you not wearing a seat belt because I don't wear one either but your precious angel next to you in a sketchy truck is worrisome

Hey I have a 1998 ford 5.0 with 3 speed with over drive it was running a few days ago but the fuel pump went out I plan on getting one on the 3 it's a Ford explorer, 5 new tires, new breaks no rust at all .Clear paper work 2200 after I put a pump in it . If you see are hear of anyone needing a good 5.0 and a 3 speed over drive

Might be better to find a 4bt Cummins
@Xthreadgarage

No doubt a Cummins swap would be easier, in fact the ‘47 Chevy that started Crossthread Garage is a Cummins build. But, we like a good challenge and learning something new, plus the 7.3 builds under vintage trucks haven’t been widely done.

No, if she’s ever off road or driving the ‘41 on salty Ohio roads, she won’t be driving long 😆.

Way to ruin a rare piece of history to save an engine that can't hold its fluids 😔

Thanks, but, to be fair the 41 engine was already replaced once and the flathead in it was locked up tighter than the men’s supplement shelves at a San Francisco RiteAide. More importantly, this way, a 15 year old kid is learning to be self-reliant in the garage and a love for old iron, which if we hadn’t brought it out of the weeds for this project would have rotted into the ground. So, we’ll have a ‘41 ford truck rolling down the road in a way that will be reliable and serviceable for another 40-50 years.
