Brakes are a factory option. They come with steel rears regardless of what you order on front

Yes its a original audi delivered spec and rear ceramic is not available for the rs3, also the front ceramic disc cost in holland 16k in euros as extra option

I have come back to the TFSI platform properly after nearly 10 years so haven’t been following anything on it especially how the ceramic brakes front and rear combo come from factory. I only assumed this is the case since I have seen more or less any car that do come with ceramics have it front and back such as a C63’s M5 etc. Around 10 years ago I had a very quick MK5 GTI since I sold that I have been busy with the GTR platform, good news is I’m back and I’m about to do some madness on the 2.5 TFSI engine stay tuned !

@@NamzBoost Yes! Welcome back :) I can tell you are very lucky to find an rs3 with this specs and WITH the ceramic brake disc options its a gem bro and the difference with steel and ceramic brakes on the rs models is mad especially when you go to tune it the ceramics are a must

@@NamzBoostdon’t know about UK but in NL C63 with carbon ceramics only have them in the front and rears are steel. My E63 has carbon ceramics front+rear, though I remember seeing a video by Mat Watson saying the carbon ceramics were not an option on the E63 in the UK 🤷‍♂️

When you spec specifically RS3 with ceramic brakes you get ceramics only in front, at the rear they are steel its the same thing with C63 w205 (front ceramic, rear steel)!

Don't damaged the discs with a pry bar or wedge a screwdriver in the centre in order to open the driveshaft nut, you've probably already damaged the disc if it was initially salvageable and I doubt you'll be able to bring it back, expensive bill incoming or swap over to steelies

Oil leak? Bro, the oil feed to the turbo is disconnected. Its pumping oil directly into the container at the back.

The Car was definitely stage three and went wrong. They didn’t want to pay the big bill to rebuild the engine so took the hybrid out and probably sold that on and cut their loss. Bit strange they didn’t remove a few more bits as the breaks are worth a bit second hand

With the amount of oil in the exhaust it was 100% the turbo that let go before anything else.

The car was built stage 3, custom tune, kid bought it from someone and blew the motor, he was unable to maintain and fix it so finance company took it back, and then it went on copart

You’re a brave man! To see all the money spent on tuning and parts, it’s a bit of a red flag to me as whatever the problem is, is likely to be expensive if the previous owner chose not to repair the problem. She’s a beaut though, someone’s pride and joy ❤

The no expense spared parts is more a good thing. Suggests previous owner did nothing more than ragged the engine as a boy racer. He will jus have to rebuild which I'm sure he was prepared for. It wasnt in a accident which wud have meant other parts of car were battered. It's a good enuff purchase. Just have to see how bad the engine damage was.

It’s a Audi press car with ceramic brakes they’re weren’t shy of a £1000 pan roof option when it has £10k ceramic brakes on it, cars with pan roof are less rigid therefore handle worse than one with out it. They didn’t opt it so it can bring out the best from journalists
