The trans starting in the wrong gear is the governor pressure solenoid and transducer. They’re plastic and junk oem. XDP has heavy duty parts for 200 for the kit and it solved my issue

OOF. You've got your work cut out for you with that one, Ryan. The bed is discontinued from MOPAR as are all of the doors. Typical midwest truck living its life in the rust belt. Our '07 is virtually identical aside form ours being powered by the 5.7 Hemi which was showing signs of midwest melanoma so we slowly grabbed every body panel over time and had the entire truck painted last summer with every panel replaced with OEM NIB parts. They're great trucks and it's unfortunate they don't offer trucks like those any more. The suspension fasteners are likely all seized on yours but those are luckily still available so that's a plus once you start tearing into it. Good luck and we'll watch this project closely. BRO! If I wasn't inspired by all of your videos, I wouldn't check here daily for your video!!!!!! Got worried about you there. I had a 2004 RAM 1500 Atlantic Blue "Thunder Road" edition with 5.7 HEMI, 20" wheels, custom camper cover, grill/brush guard and lots of LED lights. Added several more "extras" to it but I traded it in a couple of years ago for a RAM Rebel. Blue truck only had 95K miles on it and the dealership did me right on trade-in. But I love my Rebel!

Had the same problem with my 06 throw a governor pressure solenoid upgrade and transducer in it and should fix the job I also did the ttva (trans throttle valve actuator) also to finish the trifecta and it’ll get you back on track with those 2nd gear take offs
