I just came across your channel and subscribed. I enjoy watching the early Japanese 4 stroke rebuilds as I have done several myself and am now working on an 81 Suzuki GS850. I had back surgery in November so I'm in no shape to do any heavy lifting at this point but I had that all planned out. So by summer I'll have a running 850 and be playing golf again.

Had a 1976 360-T when I was in my 20s couldn’t kill it and I tried believe me ! Got it up to 105 laying across the tank with my feet on the back pegs ! It was kick start only, I think I paid 350 for mine nice find it was a fun bike to ride!

You got that right! The crazy thing is I did not negotiate with the seller. Had it listed for $175, After looking the bike over, I asked what he wanted for it? He said the lowest he could go was $125, I said sold and handed him the money.

H’mm? So the 360 engine looks to be a runner with just a carb clean and oil change. Now did the 350G with the bad valve have a title? If it does then does a 360 engine bolt into a 350 frame? See where I’m going? Swap engines and the 360 becomes a parts bike to sell pieces off of to make back more than you paid for it 😁

I like the way your thinking. Could be fun. Although I like to do the least amount of work possible. 😂 As evidenced in the 1983 Kawasaki GPZ1100 I got running again after being abandoned outside for years without spark plugs. Engine was seized. All I did was free up the engine, new plugs, a coil and a few other bits. Then I rode it to Colorado from Louisiana. Never pulled the engine. Have put almost 6,000 miles on it since I got it in April.

My secret 🤫 is I am willing to drive for a cheap motorcycle. This one was close about 30 miles away. Furthest I went was from New Orleans to Indiana for a $200 motorcycle. Keri and I went, made a mini vacation out of it.

I’ve went with my friend to get a Kawasaki Zepher in Michigan long ago and my brother gave me my 3 wheeler had to go to Buffalo Ny to get it. Good times was long ago. I enjoy working on old bikes almost more than riding them, love taking a junky old bike n redoing it then seeing the look on the last owners face at how good it looked.
