These engines sell for around £10k used, issue is you don’t know the history of the engine or what ever issue it may have on it, short blocks aren’t usually available

That chain would have been rattling like a skeleton wankin in a biscuit tin on cold start way before the tensioner actully failed. That’s the issue with SVR etc. Most owners are totally clueless and drive them until they implode.

Remap wouldn’t have caused an issue like this, this issue is simply the timing chain tensioner started failing and the driver ignored engine lights on dash and the engine went bang 💥 This car is HPI clear not cat just engine damage
