The excess dried water in the engine bay, followed by water in the oil would suggest it's been hydro locked. Who ever was driving it probably went through a ford a little too deep. I say ford because everything in the cabin was ok, again suggesting water lower than the door sill. Just an observation Edit: Ford, not Fjord. Thank you Paul

Flood damage. Shouldnt have tried starting it. Should have done a full on service on it, powered it up and then cranked. Chances are you hydrolocked it when you cranked it over. I could be wrong but cant wait to see vid

Adblue residue is a bit worrying. It’s nasty stuff if it gets in the fuel system. A driver in my work filled a lorry diesel tank with it, didn’t realise till it broke down and needed a new fuel system and engine, £55k 😅

Yes people , can someone help me please . I have an Audi a3 1.5 tfsi dsg . 40k on the clock .. on gear change from 2nd to 3rd it makes a screeching noise , and only happens when the engine has been driving for half hour ..I’ve done full diognostic and car came back clean. Had a good look at engine and it’s clean, spoke to numerous mechanics and specialist and thought it was my gearbox that needed a service , but when I spoke to Audi , they told me I have a lifetime sealed transmission meaning I never have to get it serviced because I have a dry clutch .. the noise is getting on my Nervs , and needs fixing as I have a Mecatronic gearbox .. please can someone tell me what they think the problem is , as i don’t know what to do anymore .. thanking all of you in advance ?

It’s been through an auction mate and that usually means it’s been through a garage before that already I couldn’t make it any worse by trying to see if it starts - we intend on rebuilding the engine anyway
