Hey, great video! Do you have struggles with the small space in the trunk? What version do you have? Do you drive EV only all the time or set it to hybrid and let the car decide when to use only electric or electric with gas or gas only? What tires are you using? Green tires? I am considering one used for my daily commute. Thanks again for the video, good info. As far I know, Ford Pass App is free and compatible with vehicles 2017 and later.
@jonyrock4 жыл бұрын
The huge battery in the trunk hasn't bothered me. Since i have no kids i just put my groceries in the back seat. I usually always just drive ev until it runs out unless I know I'm going to be stuck in rush hour, then i put it on "EV later" mode to save the battery power for that stop and go traffic. Tires on the car are michelin energy savers 225/50/r17. Ford app is handy for keeping track of your miles and unlocking your car if you forget your keys lol. If you go too many days without using the gas engine the car will turn the engine on for a minute to keep fluids moving, nice little detail the engineers thought of there.

Hi, I have owned a 2019 Ford Fusion Energi since new - only have 12000 miles on it. What a great car having owned about 60 cars in my life. The Fusion does everything well in luxury. Excellent cruising on the freeway and getting 120 mpg. I have only been to the gas station about 5 times in last 4 years as the 20-22 miles of electricity covers most of the small trips I do in my area. I recharge in my garage with 120 volts generally overnight. I hope Ford reconsiders building cars again rather than SUVs. Yes it does have a small boot area because the battery takes up a lot of the space. That is the only disappointment but it has never been a problem for me. With all the safety features such as adaptive cruise contol, warning for drifting in to other lanes and emergency stops if the car in front stops together with warnings on the side mirrors if another car gets in the blindspot and anyone or car passing behind if backing up - wow it is only now the industry is catching up with these safety features. All the other comfort features such as navigation, phone hookup for wifi and 12v charging. I was almost going to sell it but I cannot get better and only now at a much greater price. After the lease was finished I refinanced with Ford to keep in warrsnty. My only issure has been the A/C being addressed a few times under warranty. Happy motoring especially those that own one of these vehicles.

Don't expect this car to be a quick merger into traffic. This is the first reason i want to get rid of it. Number two is the lack of trunk space. When i purchased it i didn't think in the future i would need the space the hybrid battery occupied. Mine is 83k miles with 22 miles range on the hybrid battery in warmer months. Winter is is worse at 18 miles. My other gripe is my phone has to be re-linked to the car every day. This started about three weeks ago but, im not sure if it's an issue with the car or the phone.
@jonyrock3 жыл бұрын
Interesting, thank you for the insight! I personally think it's got good torque, and if you turn the gas engine on it's okay for merging. At the end of the day you can't expect much out of an eco friendly car in terms of power.

@JoshyJoshTV4 жыл бұрын
Awesome Video! Thanks for sharing. 2 questions, What was the price you paid for it? And Has the car required any repairs since you obtained it?
@jonyrock4 жыл бұрын
Can't really say what I paid for it, but the only issue is that one tpms sensor going out, I want to get new tires in the next year so I will be replacing it when I change the tires. My logic is that with the low use of the gas engine I won't really run into issues until 5+ years when the battery will start getting near the end of it's life. The brakes don't get used much either since the electric motor assists with slowing the car down. The biggest concern I have and will do soon is change the transmission fluid. With the regenerative braking the transmission goes through a lot of use, changing the fluid will keep it functioning properly for a long time.
