These scooters seem to be pretty good for getting around a lot better than walking and much faster. If you only want to nip around a few miles area they seem ideal. Of course you can buy better and faster ones, but the price goes up a great deal. Value for money at this level. 👍🇬🇧

If it's sold in Europe, it might explain why it stops accelerating at 25km/h since it is the top speed by law in most countries for e-scooters, you can hack a lot of them to unlock the full power (at the cost of battery life). Same thing goes for the break and front light, if i'm not mistaken they are required too.

Been looking for a cheap-o scooter for my wife to leave at the far end of her train commute, so she can get from the train to her school, and this looks like it might be the one! It's only about a 25m walk to her school but having a scooter would just make it nice and easy for her. Scooters arent allowed to go faster than 20kph here anyway, so this looks like it might be the best option. Thanks for the review!

I'm not seeing this particular one on Amazon, but the ones there I do see are at least being "shipped" from Amazon warehouses (although considering one of my last orders from Amazon got "lost" in shipping it's not saying much, everything I've ever ordered from Aliex at least made it to my home even if they took 4 weeks.) At 500w it certainly should be capable of higher speeds, but it's probably got a tiny battery and they did that to insure decent range at low speeds.

Only issue with the 'warranty' on most things from China is you gotta ship it back to them. And that's usually cost prohibitive. I'm pretty sure they know that too. I doubt theres any service centres in any other country. Factor that in when deciding on anything from China.

After owning 14+ and repairing e scooters. If it was me I would never trust a noname/knockoff scooter due to the battery. Lots of these cheap scooters install poor batterys and sometimes the BMS can fail and cause a large lithium fire. Best to check if scooters is equipped with branded/high quality batteries. They will always comprise on something

Well it depends how you look at it. Nominal voltage of battery is 36 volts, maximum is 42 volts, its normal in lipo battery world. 3.7V nominal per cell, 4.2V max per cell. So actually it is a 42V scooter, even the charger is 42 volts.

Got mine yesterday, put everything together, there is a new safety system on the folding mechanism now, you don't have to turn a ring into the clamp, but now there is a small lever that you have to pull down before you can pull the clamp :-) i have an imbalance in the rear wheel, i just tested it while it sits on the stand, and the whole scooter is wobling.....i hope i can't feel that while driving, i will test it one of these days, but right now, it's pooring rain over here in Belgium :-/ What tire pressure did you use? Because i don't see anything about that in the manual....

This scooter must have it's speed locked until the app is activated. I have the AOVO from 2022. I have never cruised in speed mode, because I don't like wearing helmets but in sport mode mine cruises at 25 km/h using a 300 kw motor.
