Just discovered your channel recently and i have watched every episode from the start. I dread to think how many hours iv spent on youtube trying to catch up in the last month or so. Pleased to see that you didnt give up. A couple of things i did wonder though. What happened to Josh's gt86 and also what happened to mike. I was expecting him to return after a temporary goodbye he only seemed to appear in a couple videos and dissapeared. The banter between him and josh was great. The "Kappa" chassis is everything Dave said it would be and don't forget that D-Mac came close to winning FD in a Saturn Sky LS swapped version of this in 2011-12 which was the first pro drift event I ever went to at Road Atlanta. Also, why I bought one about 5 years ago along with the fact that they can be had relatively cheaply. The Ecotec 2.0 is a flat plane crank VVT direct injection engine that can hold 400-450 Hp on the stock bottom end along with some upgraded springs and retainers & upgraded turbo.

Here they have an OPEL badge and are called GTs. I think the A20NET engine has decent support in the aftermarket industry. Wouldn't be a problem for you.

I remember when these cars were still fairly new. A Canadian figured out that a 2jz fit with pretty much no modifications. It bolted into the stock engine location. Always thought these were interesting cars. The gxp fast back version were my favorite.

Hell yes!!! I think I may have a new favourite car on the channel! Loved this car for years and loved watching the Solstice's and D-Mac in the Saturn Sky (which are the same underneath) back in the day in FD. Can't wait to see what you do with it and to see it get some love and abuse

I guess the only other option would have been a Honda S2000. I remember back in the early 2000's, there used to be 1 or 2 S2K's drifting in D1GP. But it was rather snappy because of the wheel base.

Always liked these Pontiac Solstice's, however I much prefer the Saturn Sky like DMac used to run in FD with Falken, which is literally just the same car with a different body (Not DMac's car obvs). From what I know, these are similar to Opel/Vauxhall VX220's with the difference being engine layout. Those had a similar engine which was derived from the Cobalt SS in all of it's 4 banger turbo goodness, and I believe that derivative went on to then power the VXR Corsa's & Astra's 🤮

They're also super rare in the UK and Ireland 😂idk specifically about Ireland whether they got the Opel version or the Vauxhall but in the UK they're called Vauxhall vx220 and in Europe Opel speedster/GT. The vauxhall didn't sell well at all very rare cars
