This time frame already shows it's just a glued together suit. It's not any better than getting an h&m suit altered. A suit takes a real bespoke tailor between 40 and 80h to complete. You can btw very easily tell that this is in no way a bespoke suit.

I hope to do the same! I would pay as much as they wanted for the quality. I want to travel around the world and get pieces from everywhere (even Korea, ik it’s pricy but Yk quality beats price any day). And some of the tailor places in Vietnam are family run and smaller businesses often have pricier items but handmade and high quality and I couldn’t care less if it’s expensive if it is good quality.

Vietnam is the 6th leading silk producing in the world and their products are pretty good in quality. And of course, you'll get even better price when you support local businesses. The dress and suite that you both had look amazing and fit perfectly. I would definitely get a suite for me next time I visit Hoi An.

I had 2 long dresses (for weddings), a casual pantsuit, a pair of pants and a pair of leather sandals made when I was in Hoi An last month, and all together it cost me just $370, which I considered a bargain! I had a tailor-made suit done for me in Hong Kong more than 30 years ago. Thailand has been known for years as the place to get cheap suits tailor-made, but the shop touts, especially in tourist trap areas, can be downright annoying. That shop in Hoi An looked very pleasant and civil. Fortunately, my days of wearing suits are long gone.

I went in one of those shops with a picture of Sean Connery from Goldfinger and they made the suit tailored for me. Ten years later its too worn for weddings but I randonly wear it at work every couple of months. Looking sharp Dylan. Cool suit :)

Did the same, but with a picture of Daniel Craig in Casino Royale his dinner jacket tuxedo ensemble. Granted I didn't knew half as much about tailoring and menswear as I do now. So there were poor choices on the material side, even though the finest materials doesn't match average wool from Italian mills. It's very coarse materials, the shirt is still better than a Zara shirt but certainly not the finest Egyptian cotton. And furthermore it's rather unflattering the body. Never had the moment like James Bond that I looked in the mirror and said to myself yes, I'm a secret agent and looking fine. But I would love to back and give it another shot on some rather casual requests.

Ikr, I sew some of my own clothing and I was amazed at how they got all that for $200, I would have paid that for the suit pieces alone nvm that stunning dress. I don’t even think $200 is enough for the quality and time it took I mean it took me almost a week just to do a button up shirt and when you think how long it takes for tailored items anywhere else normally, it could take anywhere between a week and a few months. I think they got a real bargain, they would be getting a LOT of money if they were here in the Uk for that quality and price, it’s a shame that they aren’t somewhere that they could get more money for their items.

Great video. Last time I was in Hoi An I needed a jacket for a long motorcycle ride. Had a custom made water buffalo hide jacket made in 24 hours for something like $160. I literally got to choose the hide it was made from.

Five years ago, I bought a two-pieces suit for my husband to attend a luncheon which cost about $325 USD. After several wears, things began to fall apart due to bad threads. He then donated the suit to Goodwill store for the poor.

They’re a really lovely “thick” cotton blend - I would guess. Feels like a very good material! There were loads to choose from, though! Perhaps due to the pandemic the prices have dropped? U guys reminded of my two 2 piece suits that I got from Raymond, a famous tailor franchise in India, I got one from Chennai n one from Mumbai. They r not as cheap as d ones u got in Vietnam but way much cheaper than d tailor made suits in Malaysia. D one I got in Chennai was a luxury material n it only cost me USD150. D one I made in Mumbai only cost me USD125. A real big value for money.

It's such a long long time since I watch video like this. I was so addicted to watch and seeing the final results of the outfits at these tailor shops, now tourism is coming back but most just focusing on the city tours. You guys have great figures, they can throw rags on and you still look good ..... The price is about right, if not better, because I got 2 pieces suit done by a friend of a friend shop in Saigon and they charged me 2mil dongs . I think if you get more you can bargain for more discount .

A lot of these type suits, Indochine, etc, and Thai, HK quick tailors, the suits can look, well, not good. Yours is very good. Excellent work. Nice choice of fabric. You look great. Pair it with a dark brown brogue lace up and it’ll look perfect. Be sure to leave the bottom waistcoat button undone and top button done up only on jacket. Add a classy dress watch. Done. GQ time. The young lady looked absolutely lovely. Great video. Thx.

Wow, $200 bucks for 1 custom made suite and 1 custom made dress. They look amazing. In the background, the massive inventory of different colors and patterns of materials was overwhelming. You could spend countless hours just choosing materials. It might be worth the cost to fly to Hoi Ann to pickup 4 or 5 suits, and you get delicious food as a plus. Wonderful video.

Hi there! Thank you so much!! Of course, no problem! 1. It LITERALLY took 48 hours from first fitting to walking away with the finished product. It wasn’t super busy at the time but double check with the ladies that 4 days is enough - it should be since they’re miraculously fast! 2. We got offered the price in this video and didn’t want to negotiate as it already felt more than fair. I think it’s normal to negotiate somewhat in tourist areas so a bit of haggling wouldn’t be out of place if you feel the price that you are offered is too high. 3. The place is literally just by the edge of old town! 🤗🤗
