Thats a very nice freelander most over here in the UK are diesel but I've got quite a bit of experience with the KV6 as it was fitted to various other cars normal running temps 194-215F° is fairly normal for them and not a problem. Also if it feels particularly gutless it most likely has dead VIS motors they have a variable intake system that uses 2 motors to vary the length of the intake runners its comon for the to die rusulting in them feeling rather gutless. A way to test them is to stick it in 2nd or 3rd give some throttle and you should feel a noticeable bump in power at 3k rpm if it stays flat the VIS motors are dead.

@AddictedMotors also I think I saw it was running on green coolant they are meant to run with OAT coolant pink/red as they are all alloy engines.

The last time I did, it was an elderly couple driving it, and when I say the engine was about to come apart... I felt so bad for them.

Someone in my own one in my neighborhood. It's so clean! But you never see them on the road."six hours later and you manage to get a haircut in between the video. What happens to cars like that? Do people get them and just can't afford the upkeep?

They were dubbed the most unreliable Land Rover, because they were . I had one new, and had the engine replaced at 12k for it over heating. Then right outside the warranty the engine over heated and the transmission grenaded itself at the same time. That's just the drivetrain. All the window regulators broke, the power door locks failed... I still sort of want another one though. Oh don't forget it has 3 timing belts😬

Kv6 engine came also in kia carnival or sedona first generation the transmission from jatco Japan you can buy spares from kia for half price

I own a secral Land Rover and RR vehicles.. my 2009 lr2 is my favorite to drive
