"Rocket Bunny kit was technically stolen" No that's outright theft, when shops receive these cars to be worked on, they do not own any of the car, they are there to provide it a service. The dude chopped up their kit and sold it for a profit when he did not own the car it was on, nor the kit that was put onto it. It's outright theft.

This place was pretty popular with US service men for about 4-5yrs... it's a 15-30min drive from most of the bases. Unfortunately this story is not uncommon. Guys get orders off island or have to deploy and leave the car with a popular shop for work, its gonna be awesome when they get back..... when they do get orders back to Oki in 6 months to 3yrs.... come back and everything - Shop, car, parts, money - Long Gone. I enjoyed and miss the time I was there but I don't miss the many grifters involved in the car hobby there.
@drakularz12432 жыл бұрын
do you know where the place is?
@billyj.williams23412 жыл бұрын
@@drakularz1243 Yes, it's right up from Maribu Beach like your going to the Blue Cave. I'm not exactly sure when this became an auto shop. When I was on Oki in the 90s, it was a private residence. We found the place by accident as we turned onto the wrong road going diving.... I remember the place because I wanted to live there... lol. When I came back to Oki, few yrs ago, I was surprised when one of my Marines said that it was an Auto shop.... Anyway from what I remember there are a couple more homes and smaller businesses on the road leading where this property overlooks the cliffs and few more beyond it as the road loops around.

@sammit Awesome car - and Jason's comment about video of the S15 drifting sent me down the rabbit hole to find it. This may be video taken the day that it was drifted and broke: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqfUmqKQgaeUe68 The car appears in the gas station clip at the beginning…again at 18:07…and can be seen sitting off track with the hood up at 28:02 (and sitting in the in-field a few other times, matching the events in the video that Jason described seeing). It appears again @ 36:49 in the parking area. Regardless, can’t wait to see it on the track again.
