You notice that Jason only responds to comments that are over the top positive towards him? I was just interested in the 401 too that was supposed to be done last summer in time for OshKosh and now it won't be done in time for OshKosh this year either. I think there is a good chance it will never be completed or it will be dragged out a couple more years. I didn't watch this video or the ones before it as I have zero interest in what they are doing.

Not sure what I am missing here. I have been with you for years...way before the yacht acquisition but format feels different to me. When you hyped the 401 it looked like you were balls to the wall getting it right and into service but even now it sits while you fly around on a ridiculous schedule to buy other planes. I am not ready to leave just yet but getting close. Where is the lake property you said you would develop for veterans and other families ? Just watching you travel is of little to no entertainment for me, maybe others like but it is boring. If you are not going to get on the plane Sam gave you, let me know as there are other places I can spend my time. This has some interest but is no longer entertaining. Have fun and stay safe.
@MGower44659 ай бұрын
Part of its the 401 parts take time to source, and time to get enough to actually do a video with. I mean, "Today we have a 15 minute video installing two radios into the instrument panel" won't get the likes. Waiting to add that task in with two or 3 more makes sense. I also understand they can make some bucks buying plsnes, putting in some work in them and flipping them. And you can never have too much money when working with airplanes, where a simple light bulb costs 5 times what the exact same bulb costs for a car. There has to be a business side. The issue is they hyped too hard about how fast it would happen. I get it, everything takes longer than planned in a resto project, even just refinishing a wooden cabinet, let alone something complex. And airplanes are way more complex than most. Still, the guys had to have realized way esrlier than tgey admitted there wasn't a chance in hell of getting the 401 to Oshkosh last year. They certainly burned through my eagerness. This stuff? Not my thing, but I'll feed the algorithm for KZbin.

*"Actually I am not interested in these other planes. Please finish what you started."* As Jason explained in an earlier video, he (and his crew) are buying and refurbishing these newer airplanes in order to SELL THEM to secure funds to FLY and MAINTAIN the 401 after it's finished and in service. The reason there isn't much going on with the 401 right now is because they must WAIT for the critical services needed to become available in order to proceed. They aren't the ONLY project on many of the companies' schedules that they work with, and those businesses must FIRST keep their clients happy in order to remain in business. Give 'em a break.

Sadly, you lost focus. The dream has now gone were too many other have lost touch with there viewers. I understand the lost of a very special person. But now his memory is dying. The dream we followed. A purpose and goal a family. One thing at a time. And not too many meaningless pursuits at one time. 401 had heart, a dream, a special place in our hearts. We followed, and then we were put to the side, questioning whether we were not important. I'd rather hear this is tedious detail and work. Than to not see progress on 401. Goodbye 401....

Did you miss the part in the video shortly after the crash that it was explained that all of these episodes were recorded before the crash? 401 has custom made parts on order that doesn’t come quickly.
@rudytovar29519 ай бұрын
@@ambee514 I saw it, and understand, but would rather it not just sit there, when there's so much more that they could continue to refine the interior, or see any additional electronic wiring, connections, etc. Process of keeping the project going and all the issues on how they resolve them instead of going after other projects. Personally I don't mind if that happens, but later, rather than when there's still so much more than to simply wait on parts. Oh, and also, keep us in the loop than just feeding us videos not related to the 401. Example, you ever watch "Jerry rigs everything"? he started with electric hummer, then his wife gave birth baby, but instead of going back to the Hummer, he stopped and gave up for months and was doing cell phone's. Yeah he had someone come in and help to fix what he miss understood and didn't correctly connect the system on the hummer. but he just dropped it on someone else, and came back when the other guy fixed it his mistakes instead of being there through it all and learning something. 401 has so much meaning for everyone that's been following, I'd rather see him refine the 401 and watch 1 hour of cleaning, polishing, patching, welding, sanding, painting, replacing, etc. than to let the week slip by and at the end we see a finished product and not see the effort to get it done.

You guys are losing focus again. Also he's taking people's money please provide a status during each video on what is going on with 401 something as simple as "we are waiting on parts XYZ" and "The workaround plan is to start assembling XYZ in 1 week". You guys at rebuild rescue need to stay focused and it's highly recommended that you provide a little update on the 401 during every one of your travel deviations / new purchases.

Don't get your panties in a bunch about it. Here's Jason replying to another comment yesterday 03/23/2024 "We are waiting on a number of parts to come in. The last few videos were pre recorded back in January. We'll get back to the 401 soon. The 401 project was a huge undertaking with the most important thing that it's done right. Most every part is either new or overhauled. Even down to every nut and bolt."

@@coldsamon I'm sorry you're missing the point completely, these guys are not rebuilding or rescuing anything these last two Piper aircraft look like they're in good shape. So people are highly disappointed with regards to the fact that no recent progress on the 401 has been shown, or a good status on what's coming up next. Also that rush job to get the cougar flying again in 5 days was just absolutely ridiculous and there's no doubt things were overlooked, you can see it in their videos. Also look at video where the 401 cabin windows were reinstalled, that's a complete disaster and they haven't fixed their errors

@@christophergagliano2051Did you even read Jason's reply in my comment. They are waiting for parts! I give up 🤷♂️

@@coldsamon yeah I know they're waiting on parts, but while they're waiting on parts they need to fix the crap that they screwed up already on the 401 like the installation of the cabin windows. Or they can paint the wheel wells to match some of the other painted parts in the wheel wells.
