I work in an Amazon returns facility, and the reason it says the packaging is damaged is because we are processing these items through a questionnaire where there are limited options on what exactly we see it wrong with the item. The dynamic goes from "Item is in original, undamaged packaging" to "Minor damage on packaging". Typically when reselling items as used we say there is Minor damage to the packaging as a blanket for having some minor imperfections or having been opened previously, and on amazon it just says "Packaging is damaged". I work with larger items though, not small items like slimes, so the standard might be a little different.

yeah, I hate when people sh3t talk on the customer service employee or in general in the employee, I work in one and was so annoying I trying to explain them that it was not my fault that my company did not care if their package got lost, we cannot give them a replacement because the freaking item is not from us, like what do you want me to do? As an employee you cannot change the rules of the company.

Some of these might not even be “used” returns can’t be sold as new because there’s no way to prove it hasn’t been used and that’s when businesses and sellers experience problems with customers and amazon themselves. It’s highly likely the ones with “very good” condition haven’t been used at all.

My old job used to handle amazon returns and we had to label whether or not it was damaged. Typically when it says packaging is damaged it means that the original packaging it came in was damaged i.e opened or the original seal has been broken. The original container of slime is fine. Most of the time.

Amazon typically doesn’t resell returned goods. They are mostly liquidated in bulk lots and such. So a lot of used good are just damaged items or opened items that haven’t been truly used. That being said, there are sellers that do sell truly used items. So I wouldn’t be too worried with “used” slimes. :D
