I broke my gold sniping record again!!

Records were made to be broken and in this video I break my current gold sniping record which up until this point was 13.6g of gold. On an overnight packrafting and prospecting trip into a river we named the dragons tail river. On the second day of prospecting we come across an incredible gold deposit like nothing we've ever found before. Even using the snuffer bottle became difficult work it felt like more gold than we could snuff. Join the adventure into the dragons lair in search of gold.

Unreal. It had to happen. The effort you put in looking for new ground and some of the difficult hikes you do just getting in you definitely deserve a good find. I agree that you should be more careful with what you put on line. It would be a same to put the effort in only for some rat to come behind you and clean up before you get a chance to finish it off. Great job Levi! I had been wondering if lazy prospectors were poaching your spots, unfortunately we have to keep our spots and when we go to them very guarded. Through research and hard work I became a very successful beach metal detectorist here in Michigan USA and found lots of Gold. I shared tips and pictures on a metal detecting forum and tried to help people new to the hobby. My beaches got swarmed and it got so bad people were reporting where my car was seen to each other on social media. A good man introduced himself to me and showed me on his phone how bad it was. Like stalkers people were tracking my every move. So I got a different car and never tell anyone my name any more. I love your videos man, keep up the good work!

What a day you guys had Levi and thanks for sharing. I had my first experience sniping here in NZ south island last February 2021. What a buzz. Water was as cold as charity with an inadequate 3mm wetsuit. Normal power lens in mask so I mostly picked up yellow beech leaves thinking they were gold as I couldn't focus clearly - not too bad for a 69 year old though. I'm a committed gold tragic - have prospected Qld, NSW. Vic, NT and WA for around 12 years with the ML 5000 detector. Dug uncountable tons of gravel over the years chasing flood gold in NZ. Can't wait to get back to Aus once Covid is history. Cheers and thanks again - sad to hear that some guys can't do their own exploring and prospecting.

Great vid as usual Levi. At the half way mark of the video there was a quartz vein just above the gold you were snuffing. Might be worth chiseling. Also, maybe put up some of that beautiful drone footage from old videos with your present ones so the leeches will get confused

Holy frickin cow. I watched “abyss dredging” out of new zeland with 2 guys running a 6” dredge all day and only pull 5grms..you pulled 3 times that in one day and no equipment-stunning....your the special forces of the prospecting world (gold snipers) and I’m am stoked for you brother. Amazing sniping boys I've done a lot it over the last 20 years and never found that much in smaller peices only with the luck of a few nuggets did i beat that and it's a shame but you'll find that gold brings out the best and worst in people.
