You should team up with Colin Furze to build a fighter jet. He builds you a nice jet engine, you build the plane to put it in.
@Turkishmath6 жыл бұрын
Pulsejets are notoriously inefficient and loud. Not going to happen.
@knightshousegames6 жыл бұрын
I didn't say pulse jet. Turbo Jet son, with an afterburner, like a proper fighter jet.
@Turkishmath6 жыл бұрын
You and I both know that a turbojet is outside the realm of what Colin can put together. Also, weight constraints, fuel costs, avionics equipment will quickly blow up any budget that a youtuber can muster. Maybe buying a mig corpse and rebuilding it would be in the realm of possibility, but still a long shot.

If FAA has it's way.. They most likely will have support from congress this time, and have already started to bombard them with fear mongering techniques. look up FAA UAS symposium and 336. They are directly considering taking away the hobbyist's protection from the FAA given to them by congress. Does not matter much, as the FAA violated their congressional mandate, and continues to do so anyway. Just look what they have done to GA. Pretty much killed it for America.

Mad props for building your own foam ultralight and flying it! I watched the Oshkosh interview and was dissapointed to only see it get 20 ft off the ground, but in this video you flew it high and smooth...congrats! In the Oshkosh video, you were mentioning it had alot of drag, and it made me wonder if you really needed two wings to get enough lift...i thought if you built something more like a Kitfox or a Zenith 750 it would fly faster/ higher/ more efficiently. At 6'2" and 330 lbs i'll not be building one similar anytime soon...i'll stick with 1/4 scale FPV UAV's and underwater ROV's. If i ever do build a plane it'll be a Zenith 750 STOL clone. Probably with a Subaru engine. And lose the extra 130 lbs...lol.

You don't need a big place to build it, you can just make it a plane you have to assemble, if you have a backyard and a large vehicle it'll be possible. Although this is a plane we're talking about so you have to get a lot of knowledge on theory and practical+engineering skill.

Brilliant design on aerodynamics & overall safety but y u hate structure engineering On strong wind it will disintegrate in the air. U got to give few cross members otherwise nothing stops a sq from turning into a parallelogram. 2 struts needed from front of plane to leading edge of top wing alongside windshield.1 cross member b/w the upper & lower wing 1 cross member from nose of plane to the wheel axle. Cross members will take out bending moment from all members & all will become tension/ compressions members. Remember things r 100 times stronger in tension than bending
