I use the KISS program, use a single battery tender pigtail, with a15 ampere fuse, live 24x7 and use adapters to run heated jacket, gloves, air pump, phone charging etc, from a single plug. I use the Suzuki 2 wire plug for the gps. It embodies the concept of the DR650, Keep it simple.

This is a really cool project. If you still have your carboard templates, you should digitize them and make plans. I'd give a couple of bucks to save some CAD (cardboard aided design) time for myself.
@DinosTinkerShed Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment and question. I am actually working on getting these into CAD to share. I am close to completion but it seems to always take a back seat to other things. I am sorry for the delay, and will try to get it done. Dino

Nice job. When you report back let us know if the handling feels different having the weight of the headlight further out there - I’m curious if the steering might feel “floppy”. Congrats on 1K subscribers
@DinosTinkerShed2 жыл бұрын
I will do a full review. I am a bit worried not so much about the weight but of the length and how th the wind will have additional leverage on the bars. Thank you for the comment. Dino

Dino, any updates yet? I'm just about to pull the trigger on an ARX tower, but I like neatly your dash blends in with the original lines of the bike. Curious to hear if you've had a chance to ride and test the design for changes to airflow (both rider effect and steering)

Did you happen to weigh the dash and all the components? I'm wondering if extending the weight of the dash, fairing, and windshield further out from the steering axis changes the feel of the steering.

Hi Frank, I am still working through the 3d printed model on this, I do apologize it's taking so long. I don't have a 3d printer so a friend prints it for me and it seems to take a while. I have a revised piece in the works now but I have to wait to see how things fit.
