Another great video Dino. Doing a great job at teasing a specific task's process but not turning a multi subject encompassing video into a tutorial on every topic. I do look forward to these future in depth how to episodes that you hint at, like the brake bleeding. This was a great video to put out right now, with the pandemic causing world supply shortages. Dealerships have very limited stock, which is effecting new motorcycle buyers. Limited availability, none negotiable prices and units being sold before they even arrive in inventory, makes the used market the only option for some people. This video will help many to know the key points of focus when embarking on a private sale. This video is a winner, thumbs up! Even Carl got another chance to shine.

Wow, thank you again Ben. I don't have a lot of skills but I do like to talk and I hope I I can help others out and maybe save them a bit of the frustrations I have went through buying used power sports over the years. Karl will be happy to hear he has a following. He's been a great friend for almost 30 years and was kind enough to help out on these projects. Dino

Hi Dino. Sensible logical approach! Very good info for a person looking at a DR. Pleased you mentioned the neutral switch bolts and fused power outlets (yes I have done these). I put a case saver on so a chain failure would not wreck the case (and probably write off the bike. These bikes are great as with a few mods (larger tank tool holders, pannier racks, switched power outlet, rear carry rack, modified side stand) they will take you anywhere. Thankyou for helping the bike community.

Would add check the air filter! make sure its not dry and dirty. I made that mistake buying a drz400. Valves had wear from dust ingress and It cost me a fair bit to repair the head and valves

I get that you're making a video on things to check and that bike could of had damage but it was a no brainer to buy that for what they were asking. 2400km is really just getting broke in and probably hasn't been beat on yet. I would love to find a deal like that when I had the money but they don't seem to happen when I need something.

After you wash your bike, take it for a 5 to 10min ride to burn off, blow off and spin off any water. Adds years to your bike.

Great vids but I have w concern At about 14:and a few where you show the front wheel, I believe the front break line is on the wrong side of your fork tube, I'm no master mechanic but I've never seen one routed between the fork and the rim/tire, please double check for me, Thanks in advance,Mike

Thank you For the comment. This is how Suzuki routes the brake line from the factory. I don't know for sure but if it was on the outside there would be more chance of it snagging something off road. Glad you like the video and thank you for taking the time to comment. Dino

How many inches can you properly lower the bike. My wife prefers approximately 31 inches but can do a hair more. I just obtained mine and she is very enthusiastic about getting one for herself.

Dino, is there any way to adjust the shock preload on the DR without removing it (seems like a big job). I just bought one and the spring measures at 233mm, which is too tight according to the service manual.
