Hey Lee here's a good one for you, friction/grip isn't surface area related, this is relevant to your assumptions around tyre contact patch and supercharger pulley contact patch. A wider tyre doesn't give you more grip it is the compound that gives you the extra grip, the tyre is wider so it doesn't wear out being a softer compound. If you want to lessen supercharger belt slip you need to look at softer compounds rather than worrying about contact area. Great videos, keep it up 👍

Streetspeed 717 did the same thing with his 1000 hp LMR modified 2011 ZR 1 when he did a run, the belt broke and cut up his coolant hose too.

If you ever have the window problem usually if you close the door while holding the window switch up, it will start to work again. Happens all of the time with mine.

Loved the series, Lee - but I vote it is time to move on. I'd love to see you guys rebuild an S Class AMG, either S63 with the 6.2L M156 engine (add a supercharger!) or the S65 with the V12 twin turbo motor. Awesome content, favorite car channel on YT hands down.

Sometimes you can gain some belt size by taking the idler off and putting it around the belt, then bolting it in with the tension

Hey guys! Seems like its always belt issues with these PD blowers eh? I have a Kong 2650 on my LSX 388 cu. in my (wait for it lol) C5 and alot of belt issues. Car made over 850whp @ 18 psi after which belt started slipping. Currently working on the custom belt drive over the winter...

Love this channel!!! I’ve been watching this build for a while. I think I missed the part where you got the hood window glued back in. I needed to fix mine and for some reason no one where I live knows that to use to get it to stick. I’ve tried 3M windshield adhesive and it doesn’t hold up on carbon fiber. If you have any advice on that I would greatly appreciate it.
