I think the best thing about Minecraft is that the best way to play it varies from player to player. Some people love designing mega farms with crazy technical red stone, others like to make purely aesthetic stuff. It’s all great imo

We did a trial chamber at my request for Father's Day. I'm the most proficient player in the family and not as good as you, so the challenge was pretty decent for us. One thing i will say is they cater more to group play than solo. That said, if you run though, clear all the spawners and _then_ drink your ominous potion, you get both experiences back to back, and that's a lot more fun. I think part of the reason you didn't find it too challenging is just your gear and skill level. For a lot of players, especially more casual ones, it's pretty well balanced, and finding several to see different layouts or mob combinations is definitely on my to do list! A ton of fun

I was a bit puzzled when I saw that the focus of this episode was on a singular villager profession, but WOW! The detail in just that ONE house was absolutely fantastic! There wasn’t a single boring wall or ceiling, and small intricacies were packed in everywhere! Not to mention the gorgeous cliffs and terraforming and I’m just like wow. Great job!

Seconded, I would be really bummed if the season just abruptly ended at some point, probably in the middle of a probably wonderful, and then unfinished project... I love the thing that Mogswamp is doing with seeing how long and how far he can play in the same world and make it his own, and this world I think would deserve that treatment as well, because I would watch this series as long as Fwhip is willing to make the videos for it 🩷🩷🩷

This episode was really comforting to watch. The cliffs really remind me of the south of England where I live. Day 7,000. 1 Minecraft day (10 min day, 10 min night) is 20 minutes IRL. 20*7,000 = 140,000 minutes. 140K / 60 minutes = 2,333.33 hours IRL. If working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week = 2080 hours a year. So, as a FULL-TIME JOB, 7,000 Minecraft days = 58.3 weeks of full-time work

I'm sure someone else said it, but the Bad Omen bottles have 5 versions. It's 15 minutes duration per level, so Bad Omen 1 lasts 15m, Bad Omen 2 is 30m, etc. when used in the trial chambers. I absolutely love the new trial chambers. I suck at combat, but I still find them really fun. You can get infinite keys of both types. Generally I run the whole chamber in regular, then redo it in ominous. I did get VERY unlucky for the heavy core, and I had to go through 37 keys ominous keys/vaults before I got one. That means I had to fully clear out about 6 entire chambers.
@posingcarton4157
@posingcarton4157 Күн бұрын
I've done three (all with separate friends) and each trial chamber feels unique, you learn the rooms they use, but it is never the same mobs, which makes each space uniquely challenging. One time you might get a room with three baby zombie spawners, another time you might get bogged and silverfish, they went all out for this update.

That cliff is absolutely gorgeous and every detail you put into the house looks *so good!* The color palette for the whole area is fantastic and I honestly want to live in that house lol. I would *really* love to see some curly curvy stained glass smoke trails from all the chimneys in that area if you end up returning to build more houses or anything, though I do think it would be really cool if the cartographers just end up living on their own in the one house lol. Amazing content as always!

The potions work best after you’ve already gone through the trial chamber without it, because it overwrites the cooldown and immediately starts up the ominous trial difficulty. That way you get both normal and ominous keys that you can then cash in for loot.

Hey Fwhip! Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate how much work you've put into keeping your content fresh. I was glad to hear some new music starting a few videos ago, and your current video themes/scope and upload schedule are ticking every box on my Minecraft youtube list. Your videos are all unique and engaging, and they come out right when I start thinking to myself, "Huh, I really want to watch someone play MC. I hope Fwhip posts soon!" to see 30 seconds later that you uploaded. I'm loving the focus on these kinds of well made videos that don't take 3 months to create. You may have said it before yourself but I find it a lot easier to keep in touch with the channel with more consistent smaller uploads. That being said, please don't rush yourself or think that you have to have a video out once a week. Cheers!

I think the trial chambers are a more interesting challenge early game and the loot really matters at that point in the game, but there is also rare loot that is still good for late game as well. I first dived into one with unenchanted iron gear and it was challenging and exciting like old Minecraft days when you couldn't sleep. Give a good scary feeling that I feel like is really missed when you're all geared out. I have mixed feelings on having maps that lead to structures in general, it's nice if you just want to head straight for them but loses that excitement and surprise that you get finding something new. Overall, I think they are really fun and the fact that they reset makes them better structures as you will always have something happening where most other structures are looted and left for dead.
