@jpsholland4 жыл бұрын
@@achannel1818 Not at all. The whole tone discussion is bullshit when it comes to electric guitars. I've seen electric guitars made paper, pencils, cast iron, all kinds of wood, resin, pvc, polyester, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, mixed metals, nails, concrete, bricks, basalt, glass, plastic rain pipes, shovels, a car wheel and many more. With or without body. Remarkable they all sound very good. One has a little more sustain than the other, but thats all there is. With electric guitars it comes down to the quality of the pick ups, and probably mostly about how it is set up. The build materials dos not matter at all.
@mikestckl69394 жыл бұрын
@@jpsholland both opinions are kind of true , the mass of the body does alter the sound of the guitar , like more sustain ect. but tbh i´d rather have an electric guitar made out of shitty wood with kick ass pickups than a guitar made of the best tone wood with the shittiest pickups . it all plays together somehow . but the cavatie thing with liquid inside would look dope . but i kinda doubt that a honeycomp pattern with liquid for each chamber might be possible just because of the expansion of the liquid when temparature changes ... but one cavity like the wavecaster of kirk hammet or john 5 would look so fucking nice :D

I think the Dan Armstrong lucite guitars did that many years ago. It seems to me that a body made of such uniform material makes for a sound without many overtones, which makes a lot of sense. I'm pretty sure I've seen the Rolling Stones Keith Richards playing a Dan Armstrong clear bodied guitar. Think it was shaped like a Gibson SG.
@robin_holden4 жыл бұрын
@@markmiwurdz202 The Dan Armstrongs were all double cutaways, more similar to a Les Paul double cutaway. SGs are more pointy, the Dan Armstrongs are quite rounded. He did wood ones too, with a single sliding pickup for constantly variable tone.

The music you played totally fits the aesthetic of the guitar. Awesome stuff! One day when I can afford to have a garage/workshop I'm gonna try to make a guitar.
