Do the lights work off the same power source as the electric pickup on the guitar If so could you use a transformer to power the lights so that the same circuit operates lights and guitar

Really freakin cool, I really like how you use a shape that isn’t used very much. Two questions, do you think bamboo, African black, and white birch are viable woods to use for a guitar? Second, would you ever collaborate with someone like Glenn Fricker on a guitar for an experiment?

Table is gorgeous. And there was an oddly satisfying feeling watching you trim the bronze with the diamond blade. But I am also absolutely convinced that I could never spend this much time sanding, cutting, milling...rinse-repeat to build anything.

Hi, why don't you pour molten materials directly into the wood cavities? I have done this before, if you are worried about wood I have to say nothing happens before pouring the molten material around the bouquet and then pour and let it cool and sanding.

Though this is made with bronze, a cast brass guitar has been a fascination of mine for a few years now. In the late 70's Ibanez Japan made a solid brass guitar, weighed about 80 lbs and needed a special harness to hold while playing. A fun fact about when they showcased it, they plucked the string and it sustained for about 30 seconds, after which they just started playing it. I got interested in the subject since at the time I learned a floyd rose brass block would increase note sustain times. I was interested in sustain specifically. Learned about the sustainiac, fernandez sustainers, how different materials have different sustain times etc. Then a thought occurred to me "what if you made the entire guitar brass! Imagine the sustain time!!" And that's how I found out about the Ibanez Japan brass guitar. I want to try to make one sometime in my life.

You could do a lot with those LED's, have them react to the sound of the guitar, phase from color to color etc. Nice build, great ideas

That just looks incredible! A few things came to mind as I was watching... First, why the stone layer at the back? You can't see it, and it only made to build unnecessarily complicated, becuase then you had that whole problem with accessing the electronics cavity. It also added the problem that you couldn't get shielding sorted, so I was unsurprised that electrical interference became a problem. Others have pointed out that the interference you're hearing is caused by the PWM LED dimmer -- that's true, but in an unshielded cavity, you'd also be vulnerable to general electrical interference on a busy stage anyway. These two things could be potentially resolved by just returning to a classic body of one routed wooden plank plus a "cap" for the front, just in this case stone veneer rather than flamed maple. You would have to rout it heavily to give needed depth for the LEDs, but you could take advantage of that to and rout channels for strip which you could then shield with foil lining. There's so much more in my head, and it'll just get confusing if I try to write it down.....
