That first one you brought out - I taught my 10 year old how to build with a debug house and her house looks awesome. She did the interior herself of course and did the layout herself. She didn't take away any windows, but I think she did add some. Batuu has some wires - weird thing is - it does not look like wires in the icon - it's like a weird black with white stripe in the middle. When we build debug houses both my daughter and I, we place the debug house down, then draw around it with the walls, but don't close it off just yet. We pick a corner that's not got a window on it and keep that open for the time being. We take it section by section, grab the right colours for the outside paint and right windows, doors etc and add as we're going along - I hope I'm making sense - then when it comes to the roof I put in just a 1x1 room in the inside because if you zoom in close you can see inside the debug house which is just grass LOL. Then do the roof, hold down the alt key if it's not lining up correctly and once it's all completed then remove the debug house (or grab it and make it smaller for reference) and then close that house off. My most recent upload is a debug house from Get Together :) I try to keep it base game, but I do get carried away with some of the packs. It's fun. I am currently building the eco lifestyle apartments (thank you Deli) I watched as she had the grid turned on and started building from scratch so that everyone in base game only can enjoy it as well. Not finished yet :) will probably upload later on today.

Deep Into the lore you say? Okay, I gotchu. Once upon a time an alien couple, scared of the mighty Batuu pack, fled to earth. They lived happily for many many years, until people noticed they weren’t aging up, they where also vampires (which is also another reason they fled space, cause they were two different sims type which is though to be imposible, so they’d been on the run). So they built a second house right next to there old one on the same lot, they even made their lot have an ally way and road signs and everything, so I’d be more believable. They then faked their own deaths and changed their human costumes to look different and moved into the new house. However they’re down on their luck now. Moneys tight, so they’re renting out the third portion of their lot to a human until they need to fake their deaths again... Also they recycle. 8:30

This is actually a really smart way of dividing up a plot I may something similiar it in my own game
if you want to expand the house later on, you could start taking away the cars and small things like that to give an illusion that the neighbours are moving away, idk if there is a sign or something you could put in the front yards to mimick like a 'for sale' sign and then use that in your 'lore' as a narrative point before expanding your house. hehe or maybe i am just too invested in making my gameplays realistic lol

Paying for graffiti from buy mode (a more realistic interpretation): Real estate agent: there is some graffiti on the wall by your house, so you will have to pay for that Me: Doesn't graffiti drive the property value _down_?
