I Built a Garage with a Draw Bridge Ramp to Protect our Vehicles! (Crashlander Survival Mod 31)

Today we're back with more Crashlander! In this episode we are experimenting with a concept that didn't work in vanilla, making a flyer that never has to land! If we connect a crafting station to make gas then our flyer should be able to use oil ponds as fuel without landing!

When you get chemicals, bring an empty chest with you and exchange it with the chest you that is already down there, and CARRY the chest out. You won't need to dump your inventory for a special "chemical run" every time....

If you really want to you can use ramp parts to put on the end of the garage ramp to make it "flush" to the ground

Adding a large chest to a watering system will allow you to swap out the chest to put warer into a crafting loop.

Add an extra spliter to the end of the water line (last priority filling) that goes into a basement chest for water that is piped into your main storage.

Me and my friends on our world built a massive two floor rectangle of a base, the lower floor for vehicles and the upper for living in, and we’ve recently been renovating the interior. Nice to see Kan doing the same 😂

I have been having Kan's scrap mechanic playlist play through from recent to oldest while I work on stuff.... I has been interesting to note how scrap mechanic improved handling physics calcs and the huge improvements to multiplayer code (maybe some has to do with improved connections on the players too). It progresses from moderate jank on the side of the clients to all out chaos and pure insanity when you get to MP races from 6 years ago. The insanity ramps up very quickly at about 5 years ago, and Comodo basically can't really play due to rubber banding and input lag at the 6 year mark, mostly because his client shows him steering and missing an obstacle but the host had him hit the object because of a missed input and he gets rubber banded back to the object 1 second or more after he thought he was on his merry way past it.

I think the ramp needs to be another 6-8 blocks wider and a second cantileverer arm on the other side to be symmetrical. It's killing my OCD. Cut every other block out to save for weight as well. It looks good and gives a little bit of character to the ramp-drawbridge. Great video, kAN!

Kan, I had a similar drawbridge in a vanilla world. I added sensors to it so it would lower te bridge whenever I drove my vehicle to it. I covered the sensor on the ground in metal 3 to protect it from taking damage. Worked like a charm and made things so much easier…

Put ladders on the inside of your walls so you can get out without your lift. Consider putting them outside too, but I'm not sure what the wolves will do to them.

You could add another freeish spinning piece on the end of the ramp with some wedge pieces, this would make it easier to get the wheels on the ramp when starting, although you would probably want to set it so when falling its fixed, when rising its fixed but free spin at the end

Connect your current watering system to a large chest and then add vacuum pipes to plumb them to the water cannisters then do the rewiring from the water cannisters to the water cannons your watering system only lacks the extra water capacity to deal with vacuum pump down time.

Also noted that vacuum pipes move "full stacks" from one container to another container.

i figure since you mentioned maybe adding a water chest to your crafting loop. i created a system that completely fills one large chest full of water based on some logic and timers, i could probably send you a schematic for it if you want edit : although now that i think about it this mod probably has something that makes that system unnecessary XD

The only problem with your plans for the flier is you have to make it MUCH bigger and you will burn through the fuel far faster. Just put a radar beacon at a few refueling stations and have a chest to store extra fuel for backup. Put a bed on the flier too. You should only need 4 thrusters tops.

Ramp should be about half again wider, but otherwise it's fine. still think a piston setup would've been better to lift the ramp, but hey, whatever.

Kan you dont need a chest for the water, youu can use the 3 way pipe and 2 curve pipe to have 3 pumping water

You should build the helipad as a roof on the crafting level. Having all your crafting equipment exposed to the elements is silly, as I've been saying since you built your crafting chain. 🙂

i dont know if it will lag a lot.. but i would make elevators pr car you wish to park. so you only need to press a button for every car. i fugure 5 elevators for 5 cars. or just one huge elevator platform, for all cars

instead of a ramp into the garage, why not a catapult? why not make a gas station that shoots oil into a collector on your flyer, like oil based air defense artillery that fills up your gas tank instead of killing you.

Honestly, I don't think the sky mechanic mod looks worth it, it's just the same stuff.. but ABIT wierd. Ide stick with crashlander and really achieve those goals. Get it out your system. Plus continuity is key for growth.
