Today we're back with more Crashlander! In this episode we are beginning to work on the radio antenna project which I'm pretty sure is the final build of the game...

Because Scrap Mechanic Modders adapted the mindset of the Scrap Mechanic Developers and made everything cost far to much and be insanely grindy...

@@mementomori5580 These modders actually reduced the grind, when you use the specialized crafters you often get more end product than OG scrapmechanic. You can craft/trade for component kits, which is much better than hunting 2-4 haybots per component kit. The thing they didn't change is that it takes 256 blocks to build 16x16, and that antenna building is big.

I will say this much don't insert the battery until you've done everything you want to do with the side quests.

That is not accurate. You can continue to do side quests after inserting the battery.

It'll be nice seeing you actually mass farm in this series. I think you should also try to get enough seeds to do a full field of any of the food crops while you are running the farm. That'll get you more wolf hides for the stone, and then you won't have that lack of seeds problem again. Just plant any seeds you don't have enough of, and fill the rest with bananas and oranges.

the blueprints mechanic is definitely very cool. It feels like some of the mods do a better job of implementing Scrap Mechanic's features than the devs and they seem to do it faster too, which is a bit annoying. Since it seems like you're going to need to do a lot of farming in the near future, maybe now would be a good time to build some automatic defenses, so you're not stuck killing scads of wildlife with melee weapons or taking time out to farm potatoes. Once you finish this campaign, I'd love to see you tackle the Fant mod campaign.

Ivan has the best trade for polished Metal without Beeswax (50 Metal1= 45 polished Metal) I'd like to see the Flyer next or maybe the autosorting chest system. Justin sells copper for brocoli and bananas, so an automatic defense System to handle big raids could be useful, too. Completing the Antenna should be the last thing to do.

The blueprint clarity is more due to the way the mod used it than it is a scrap mechanic thing, IMO. The blueprint is done in steps, so they could've done all the separate materials in different steps, but that would've made it a crazy number of steps and not as cool to build probably. It would certainly be nice for scrap mechanic to make this easier (and there may be limitations on how these blueprints work I don't know about) but I think this version of the blueprint system makes sense.
