i really love the addition to the chapel! it seems so realistic. i've been to many churches before and a lot of them, especially the older ones here in the south, have shot-gun style additions onto the church to include things like bathrooms, kitchens, child areas, or just extra room and storage. very cool :)

Cemeteries were public parks before public parks were really a thing. It was normal once to picnic in cemeteries and graveyards, to visit and talk to and spend time with your loved ones both living and dead. Many people built benches and gazebos on or around their graves, and they were meant to be used.

I noticed that the Sims finally attached the roads to the lot. Wow....; These days people leave messages to the family on the obituary online. There is also a place there where they can donate to whatever charity the deceased wishes. I for one would have put a guest book out, so I could get the names of all the people who showed up so I could send out thank you cards.

It's standard here too. Arranged my mums funeral 2 weeks ago and we are given a memory book with photos, eulogy and the guest list. All to commemorate the passing of your loved one.

For what it's worth, the guest book makes complete sense, and I've seen it at multiple funerals I've been to! Most recent in my memory was my grandpa's. I can't remember i it was a physical book or an online database that was later printed out, but either way, each guest signed the book when they came in. That way we knew everyone who came to pay their respects and show support. It was really special for our family to look back on later. So I think adding it to this build, even if it's not functional, is a wonderful and realistic little detail!

You should build a columbarium--a cemetery that is just meant to hold urns. You could make it on a much smaller lot, because it could be a multi-story building.

This may be an unpopular opinion but i do wish the sims team added those tree grave and bench grave type thing, like the ones youd see in a park or smth that say 'in memory of (INSERT NAME HERE)' and Then some sort of memory or meaningful quote from said person

On another note, I don't see why the Sims didn't include an ashes-scattering ceremony in this pack. You could have used the gazebo for that, or the theme park area in the HSY world--or even Batuu for those people who would like the Disney experience. That is the experience of having you get in trouble for scattering ashes like they would if it was Disneyland or Disney World in real life. I thought of this because it could add a bit of drama in the gameplay. Here you have someone's ashes and you are trying to comply with their last wishes, only to be given a hard time over it. I am sorry if it sounds a bit inconsiderate and insensitive, but imagine how inconsiderate it would be if they would give you a hard time over this issue. Come to think of it, maybe just keep the ash-scattering ceremony and skip everything else.
