Awesome series!! Mild suggestion, take the water extractors, miners, and one generator off the main grid. That way the grid cannot collapse if you blow a fuze. Your current setup would require you to build biomass generators to kickstart the grid if it ever went down. Isolating the miners would keep the power plant running even if the grid wasn't.

power generators- they won't burn resources until you attach a wire to them. I usually try to get enough going to power itself, then hook the rest in as they get "primed". Takes longer, but feels really satisfying seeing the stability. You guys make a good team, hope to see more!

Yes! more collab... you both are hilarious in co-op mode. The race track was a great idea... in fact it would be great to have some kind of larger event between more Satisfactory content creators. Would be hilarious.

very nice! now you just need to get compacted coal... and double the coal plant!

playing Satisfactory with others is both fun and efficient. FICSIT approves of the above message.

Very nicely done. Great job on the time lapse construction clipping. Congrats on getting your first coal power plant up and going. Just due to glitching, and miner annoyance, I always build with a few more resources coming in to make sure my generators are running consistently at full with minimal fluctuation. Better to let a miner backup than having unsteady power fluctuations, which just get wilder later on. Great choices doing modular factories to smelt and construct near the nodes. Taking that approach works well for much later when you get trains and you can collect/distribute the refined resource items from the modular factories to newer more advanced factories. Just keep an eye on what you're collecting and when to build more modular node factories for more advanced factories. 🙂 ( I very rarely bother with Trucks/tractors. ) (When you reach Trains, I always build +1 station at key factories farthest out in each station park's rows to "Park" my personal train and get around the map nicely. )

whimster is greattt for tips, i dont reccommend ptting generators on water, and try to find somewhere to build the setup on land, while also trying to minimise the piping 😂 youre gonna need a WHOLE lot of extractors later on

Your original starting location is one of the best locations in the game. You can easily settle there permanently.

I am subscribed with notifications on. I have not been seeing your videos in my feed. Any rate. Making things in this game beside automation is my jam. I did a sweet PvP arena in one build. Mazes are also fun to make. Glad to see you thinking outside the box so soon in your play through.

The only thing better than an alternate recipe for more efficient screws, is an alternate recipe for something else so that you don't need to make the screws in the first place.

Nice video as always! Also, as you get further into the game, you might want to consider using a program like satisfactory tools to plan your factories. It’s ten times faster and a million times more reliable than making flowcharts by hand. You literally just have to put the inputs then it tells you everything you need to make it.

Good advice, but he's an automation engineer. I'm sure he understands exactly how it works.
@StrifeA217 Жыл бұрын
Personally i don't like that idea for a first play though. it takes a big component of actually "playing" the game out that being the discovery and planning phase of things. when your just given the flow charts your really just mindlessly placing machines at that point. Thats just a personal opinion, Ill always advocate for "its your game play it how you want to" as long as it doesn't affect my game.
@Allthegoodhandlesaretakenlmao Жыл бұрын
@@StrifeA217 I don't use it for the small stuff, but when you try doing every little calculation for an entire plutonium plant, I think that the stress overtakes the achievement of doing it yourself. Totally personal opinion tho
@Allthegoodhandlesaretakenlmao Жыл бұрын
@@Serxne_ I think of it like a calculator. you don't need it for the simple things, but when you have a million different things (recipes, materials, etc.) that can change, it's useful to have the tool available

I prefer when you play games alone and learn stuff on your own, don't really like watching co op/multiplayer videos and I fell stuff gets spoiled when someone who knows alot about it comes in and explain everything and how to do it the "correct" way.. But that is just me, will continue to watch but liked the first two videos more
