9:50 Yeah, it's directly related with the length of the strings. By decreasing the length of the strings but keeping the same spacing between frets, you change the ratio of the spacing , which makes intervals bigger and totally imprecise (and that's why the bends are bigger too). You basically have almost a whole octave divided in four frets, which normally should be 12.

If you were gonna do this, you should have mounted the bridge further back on the guitar. Measure the distance from the bridge to the 12th fret, then after moving the bridge back, you want your nut to be that same distance away. Then you can determine fret spacing, which would be the same as a guitar at the 12th fret.

This video. I love it! You could've just got the guitar and played it and made a video but I love how the whole process is showed. Also I love John, he's pretty fun 😂 Great video, Stevie!

Now what you need to do is bring this guitar into Glenn Fricker’s studio and watch his absolute meltdown of a reaction! 😂😂😂😂

Hilarious that you're an amazing guitarist but I was shocked how little you know about the construction of guitars! lol Wow, I know more about guitars than SteveT. No one would believe me if I said that. Great episode, been watching the show for years. Super nice guy and amazing talent. Good guys do finish first. Congratulations on all your success.

Hi, Steve! This kinda reminds me of your toy guitar video! 😂 That must have been a good learning experience for you. Does it make you wanna try building guitars yourself? I tell you, Ed Sheeran’s songs sure sound different on the radio than from his “signature” guitar. You think he’s a guifakist? 🤔 😂 I finished the flag blanket, they both loved it. Great video, have a wonderful day! 😃

Very similar to the toy guitar!! Even in terms of sound, and overall unplayability! 🤣 Maybe you should make an Ed Sheeran signature blanket. With way less stitches? 🤔

It's the Squier Scrotalcaster! 😂 This guitar honestly sounds kind of cool in a really lo-fi, "slackerish" sort of way. 10:34 sounds exactly like if Pavement tried to cover Ed Sheeran! 10:26 "I've heard better sounds come out of my BUT..." 😂

Yeah, it's directly related with the length of the strings. By decreasing the length of the strings but keeping the same spacing between frets, you change the ratio of the spacing , which makes intervals bigger and totally imprecise (and that's why the bends are bigger too). You basically have almost a whole octave divided in four frets, which normally should be 12.
