I’ve been to the Honolulu airport when I was a kid. As soon as you showed the front I vividly remember standing there while it was raining lightly. Minecraft builds can be amazingly immersive like that.

I lived in Hawaii as a kid and flew through HNL a couple times, and picked up lots of relatives there. It's weird having my memory jogged via minecraft... it's quite accurate! I think there was a Starbucks in one of those lower level patios with the trees, where they put like six inches of whipped cream on my frappuccino.

Hey Alpine! I’ve actually flown to and from HNL, and the little bridges before you walk into the building are actually checks to make sure you don’t have any undeclared nature from Hawaii. Learned that the hard way when I found out I couldn’t bring flowers from Hawaii to my family. 😢

Heres an idea ive had for a while. Make a heavily modded battle royal type game using the cities youve already built. Not the entire city. Youd take sections of the city to make maps. You could theme these maps to be post apocalyptic in different ways. The mods would of course be guns, the ability for the character to get cold, tired, lose blood, etc (like day z). You could have aircraft in the game. It would bring the city to life in a whole new way and would also bring another level of meaning to building the city even beyond just the enjoyment of building. Now you can use the city as an environment to do things in. Of course youd place loot in areas that would be expected, and their would be no pickaxe tools or minecraft ores or anything like that (unless it was more of a survival mode). Youll have to rely on finding things in the city as you would in real life to survive and beat other players. You could have shorter games like pubg, or longer games like day z. You could also have short team battles, basically taking all the games from the shooter world and uniquely applying them in the ultra realistic minecraft cities

You did a pretty amazing job but that's only half the airport. The international part as well as the east cost flights are all on terminal 2, which is what you built. The interstate flights as well as flights to the west cost are all in terminal 1. Recently they've done construction in the past couple of years so it's a bit bigger. This looks like an older version from back in 2014. It's a very accurately done build though.

Airports are always massive. Way way more massive than most think... They are also often very far away from the city center, so there needs to be lots of filler suburbs and lonely highways. How to stay motivated to finish airports?

For me, on bigger projects, it's good to have a small group, 2nd best for me is just seeing the little things I've learnt about building / buildings in real life. It's always fun to see greenery in places you'd also put it :)

I’ve never actually finished a large airport, but I’ve finished small ones! I’d highly recommend starting by building a small one, leaving it for a while to keep working on your city, and as you get inspired again, go back and add another few gates, another runway, another hangar, etc. This is the most realistic way airports develop irl!

If I don't have the highway leading to the airport already, I'll definitely forget about it. Even if I use something like red wool to mark out, it takes a whilt to place the wool down, and to also even fly there. All these are jus ttop demotivating

Not all airports need to be huge or far from the city, for example the old now defunct Helsinki-Malmi airport was in what I'd call suburbs maybe, basically just super close to the city

Hey! In this video they’re playerheads which you’ll need a server plugin for, but I think we recently added models. If you join cubed (IP in description) and go to /warp pack, they should be hidden there somewhere

As much as I love your videos, my one little dislike is ending with mentioning your degree. You already opened with this information so I'm not sure why you would reiterate this at the end. It makes it difficult to watch multiple videos in one sitting unfortunately since between videos it's mentioned twice and can be repetitive but that may just be me. Please note that I'm not trying to discredit your degree in any way, I just feel it would be more sincere and captivating with it being mentioned at the start of the video rather than both the start and end. Aside from that, absolutely adore the videos and I can't wait to see more!
