Although more expensive, you can improve the range and image quality by using the DJI digital fpv system It does cost significantly more but you can use the serial bus pad on the Air Unit to control the servos, it is possible. Overall great rover, would love for a part 2

@conorstewart22142 жыл бұрын
Yeah that is a great idea, it could be done simply by limiting the speed or it could be more complex by limiting the acceleration and speed and adjusting it based on the distance to the desired location.

You should get yourself a cheap rotary tool, like a dremel, and get some wood cutting and sanding bits for it, it would be much easier and faster than trying to create fine details with a large saw like that. Also how do you have so much equipment, I am jealous!
@nikodembartnik2 жыл бұрын
I have a Dremel, I don't like using it because always the result is bad. Doing something with a Dremel held in hand in a nice way is close to impossible for me. I am doing it for a long time and build a lot of tools on my own, some if the tools are also prizes I won for my projects, you can check out my other videos to learn more :)
@conorstewart22142 жыл бұрын
@@nikodembartnik I've found it's good for rough work but then if you get some fine sanding discs they work really well and really smooth it out and are pretty good for giving it a good finish. I have never been good at engraving or anything like that though.

Nice "build", but if you considered the dynamic loads of your linkages plus the lift capacity you would see that your selected motors are undersized (that's where the design and analysis is).... :)! Keep at it tho, and you'll get there.
@menonsans2 жыл бұрын
These plastic servos are quite painful to use and "iffy". I would suggest using MG90 instead of the SG90 used. For some reason the MG90s are a bit smoother to use and operate.. PS - you could "drop-in replace" SG90s with MG90s

Impressive work Nik. couple of questions if you would please. 1- Do you have any though to have more control on the jerkiness of the servos? is it that you need to have PID controller for instance or is it about controlling servos speed through algorithms. 2- would you please suggest an online course or book to master PCBs design. 3- which motor deriver model you are using? the link did not work. Thanks Alooot Nik.
@nikodembartnik2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks a lot! 1. Because you control the servo with PWM signal (precisely with the duty of the high state) you have no control over that unfortunately. There are better, more powerful high quality servos that could improve the arm but at the same time those are more pricey and a lot bigger 2. I would say watch some YT videos, design a few PCBs and see what works and what doesn't. I never attended any course on that and I would definitely need some more knowledge in that area. Practice makes perfect :) 3. It's L298N Have a nice day!

ESA scholarship? That's just too awesome :) Nice PCB - I like CNC made ones for typical projects that don't need sub-millimeter rasters etc. No soldermask is not really a problem, and if you need more reliability, you can always use conformal coating afterwards. Looks like you're getting close to 100k subs! Gonna make a silverplate project like Dave Jones (EEVBlog) did?
