I love the design of the case; it doesn't fit my needs though for the below reasons: 1. This if for ATX showcase, but not doesn't support enthusiast eATX fully; that's a concern. 2. The vertical riser is 3x space; as noted for RTX 4090 it's up to 4 slots with air coolers which would put it up against the glass or too large entirely. That's a non-starter unless you're using an AIO or custom loop cooler, which defeats the need for vertical anymore other than looks because the weight/sagging issue is mitigated. 3. The riser cable is PCIe 4x. I realize that's likely a limit of component availability currently, but unless you offer an upgrade later it'll be outdated by next gen. most likely. 4. The back is fully mesh, so you can't create a real push / pull, positive pressure, etc. flow. The back needs to be mesh at the bottom for 120mm fans across, then solid up to the top. That way the bottom pulls in, and the top and back pulls out, and you have a directed flow. Again, great looking case; love the design, and especially the bottom grid feature. Just missing on a few key items.

That would be an awesome "aquarium" build. Custom loop and some kind of aquatic theme would look so good inside that case. The shape and size reminds me of a glass tank already so it'd be easy (in my imagination) to accentuate the terrarium/aquarium feel.

When Jay first pulled the plastic off the case my first thought is that it looks like a fish tank. As far as storage, one can always get a couple 3.5" drive bay adapters. Those adapters typically allow for two 2.5" drives, so in theory one could mount four 2.5" SSDs.

The fact that the front panel IO are grouped as one solid section is by far the most attractive thing about this product for any novice looking to jump in. I remember my first time building when I got to installing the front IO I was super cautious and trying to peer into the case with an phone flashlight trying to make out the polarities. It would have been at that time that I wished I had got a case like this for that specific feature. My Cooler Master Storm Sniper Elite case that I had bought back in 2011 had a solid front panel I/O connector. It's just strange that it's not the norm in my opinion, but every ASUS mobo I ever bought came with a Q-Connector to make connecting the front panel easier. That case was all about quiet cooling via airflow as well, with 3 200mm fans in the front, side, and top, and a single 120 in the back. Honestly, that case was a decade ahead of its time.

I really like the look of this and the amount of thought that seems to have gone into it. Only place I personally think they missed a trick on are those low profile expansion slots to fit the vertical mount. What I think they could have done is make that section of the back detachable and provide a replacement that takes away the vertical mount but has full width expansion. In the long run it could be potentially cheaper than production runs of 2 separate models and keep those customers that need the expansion slots. They may have considered it though and maybe the cost had them go over the price point they were aiming for. Still, really nice looking case. I'd love to see a build in it 😊

Good point, with the way they did it it basically requires a vertical GPU mount. And for any other full height cards. While lots of room for air to get in and out of a case can be a good thing, having slots or holes adjacent to fans can result in the air simply moving around the fan in a short-circuit rather than through the chassis. I often use hard foam sheet to blank off surplus apertures in PCs that I build to help ensure that the air goes in and comes out only where intended. That way, all of the air that is moved by the fans has a chance to cool down the hot bits.

I was in love with this case but it came out after I had already bought my budget one for $70. After seeing this teardown I love it even more. Considering the cable management that took days and having to remove my basement 3.5/2.5' HD tray (was basically forced to ditch using my 1TB HDD, which is fine considering I have an 512gb NVME for Windows and a 1TB sata for games) in addition to some of the other issues I had with my current case (It looks clean where it matters for the most part but I wish it had cable gromits or however it's spelled) I can appreciate what they did with this as far as cable management and the input panel connectors. I also like the fact that you guys did more of a tear down on this case instead of showing it off and just building in it so we could see more of the basics of what it has to offer. If I happened to somehow win or just have the money to get it even though my build is budget I would rebuild in this one and ditch the other case. Of course as I got better parts they'd have to go in this one. I do love the design and I think it would be cool if they did eventually make a more "budget" version or even a microatx version if possible. I also think that having the vertical gpu mount as optional would be better.

This case is pretty cutting edge functionality. It has the look and form factor of the Lian Li 011 Dynamic, but is surely lighter and easier to move around, having a metal base instead of all glass panels. I also like the bottom intake and think it would be great for GPU cooling. Ideal for a white PC build 👍🏼

I have a Gig Areo 4080 in it, & playing starfield at max settings, i get to 72C and it stops. Eventhough the 4080 is about 1/2 inch from the glass. The fans on the bottom really help pull cold air right up through the fins of the 4080. AMD 7900x with a Asus rog strix X670-E-A MB. All white build and x8 corsair rgb fans.with a Corsair H150i 360 AIO at the top. Best rig I have ever built and This case makes it look so goooood! So worth the 200$ price point. If this came out in 2019 and was sold in the UK I would have gone for this case as many motherboards these days are loaded with USB ports and sound cards aren't that massive. In regards to the solid front power connectors some motherboards include a plastic holder where you can plug in the individual connectors and you just plug that in. But yeah, they should be a solid connector by now.

This reminds me a lot of the layout of the Lian Li PC-O11 with its apparent intended right angle airflow and glass fish tank appearance. I do think this layout will show off components and RGB LEDs way better than having a bunch of fans on the front or worse, choked off fans covered in glass at the front. It's a nice compromise between airflow and showing off components.

Ran my gpu vertical for almost three years and I absolutely wouldn't recommend it if it doesn't have at least an inch clearance from the glass. but shouldn't 70 degrees still be fine with a bit of headroom? What are the downsides of those 10 degrees more?
@WhitefoxSpace
@WhitefoxSpace 2 жыл бұрын
@@MoonFidelity Yeah it should be, but the problem is that's at a standard load. So, in most US states you'll probably be fine with this. Problem is in states like Texas/countries like mine (South Africa), you never want to hang around 70 because a hot day messes with your case intake and all of a sudden the ambient temp rises by 5 which means you can't cool it down anymore. Pair that with a demanding title (like Path of Exile after its graphical update (resulted in a dead Asus Strix 1080ti) or Metro Exodus (resulted in a dead Aorus 2080) and very quickly you're into the 80s. With graphics cards: don't play around. Do it right, its the most expensive thing in your build 9 times out of 10, look after it. Even if it should be ok at those temps, you don't know what it'll do at those temps, *over* 2 years.
@skyfalltech
@skyfalltech 2 жыл бұрын
Your point about having a gap between it and the glass is an important one. Sometimes vertical is a better option for the same reason. A while back I had a 3080 FTW3 in an O11 XL case... It's a wide case, but also a very wide card. The power cables were basically smashed against the glass when it was installed horizontally. The card blocked most of the intake from the fans below, and because the card doesn't exhaust much of the air directly (stock cooler), it just sort of made a turbulent area at the bottom of the case. Switching to a vertical mount for the 3080 in this particular case (pun unavoidable) opened up a ton of room for airflow. I don't remember the numbers, but it was definitely double digits of temperature difference Anyway, my point is, consider your options, watch your temps and airflow, and choose one that works rather than one that can bake cupcakes. :)

Same with sound cards. Wifi card, network cards. I can't think of any card Where I wouldn't be able to find a low profile other than the GPU. Yeah most of them require you changing out the bracket included in the box. But its not like low profile PCIe cards are hard to find in the consumer space.

Jay, my first thought was " It looks like a fish tank". In a good way, which made me want to ask would it be possible to build a PC and have it water-proofed enough to use as a fish tank with RGB and maybe filter the water to be used for the tank? Or keep it separate? Just thought it would be a cool concept that I believe you could do with your knowledge of water cooling, PC's, etc.
@Kray86
@Kray86 2 жыл бұрын
You wont be able to use the same water from the fish to cool the case since it would corrode the parts. PC water cooling uses Distilled water or manufactured liquids, and distilled water is bad for fish. Only way this could possibly work is if you build a case with two isolated chambers for fish and pc like a thin aquarium that you can see the rig threw it. Even a build like this would take some fine planning to manage the evaporation of the aquarium water not to affect the pc components due to the close proximity.

@@Kray86 yeah, after I asked and then thought more about it I was thinking along the same lines. I got one in black and love it. One of the big selling points for me was the power and USB port locations. Having the USB and power button on top of the case is (in my opinion) outdated on Gaming PCs since most people want to have it up on their desk to display the internals and RGB instead of tucked away underneath. I do have a couple of gripes. The openings around the screws for the expansion slots are rather large and have no covers. If you are the type of person that doesn't keep a clean space, you will find out pretty quick that warm electronics and flashy RGB make for an attractive bug home. Also, the upper cable grommet doesn't go quite high enough so the 24pin connector cable comes out and has to go up at an angle to connect to my Motherboard. This may vary based on what Mobo you have. Some may have a connector that is low enough to match the case better. Oh, and the LED around the power button is white. Not bright so it's not bad, just looks kind of out of place once you have your RGB running.

This is the one of the few new cases that has drawn my interest in years. I've been rebuilding our systems in Silverstone Fortress FT02 cases for about 15 years because they're the most suited to our use -- floor-sitting cases, with IO coming out of the top of the cases rather than the back for easy access and window on the right side since the cases sit to our left. It has the fans mounted on the bottom of the frame similar to the Y60 as well, but the graphics cards sit vertically since the IO is at the top. Good airflow, and good temps. The biggest issue I've had with it is that I have to stick with graphics cards shorter than 30cm. Other than that they have left nothing to complain about for our builds.

Really happy to see you do a vid on this case. I just transplanted my rig to it and I love it (mine is the red edition). Would love to see a build and some testing. I can say from my own use so far, I am getting a good 8-11c lower temps (on average) from my last case (meshify II). Little tip for anyone building, leave the corner glass, if you can ,for support (while building, obviously it should be there any other time) just in case any unintentional weight is placed on the top through the process. It is sturdy without the glass. But sometimes a jackass will come and place their hand on the top and lean while talking to you... Wiring was a breeze. I swapped out the fans for ones I already had, but the included fans seem just fine. The included riser was a great gesture. My only complaint is that the GPU could use a bit more clearance away from the glass, if you have a larger card. As well as not having the resources to go custom loop, because in this case...it would be sweetness. One could NOT ask for a better case in most situations, especially not in the sub-$200 range.
