Great build, I like the way you use the shape of the SSD's, it really looks like a professional product I think a 90 degree USB-C flat cable can be a solution for the stream deck. the flat cabel can be snaked under the stream deck. But it might need some redesign for the cable and plug itself.

Wow. What a truly dope thing to stumble upon. I just switched to Resolve this month, own a Loupedeck CT, and picked up my first big boy 3D printer. This is e.x.a.c.t.l.y. up my alley. I'll be checking out your project files for sure. Thanks for your time and brainpower putting these awesome ideas into the world. Your video quality is top notch, too. 10/5 stars. Would this design accommodate the CT if it was turned 90 degrees clockwise? I'm finding I like using mine rotated so I can have my thumb always on another dial (zoom) for timeline nav.

Impressive indeed, you should have included the finished product teaser in the beginning, at one point i almost thought the 3d printed version without the finishing was the final product. Neat and professional except the loupdeck usb cable dangling from behind, wish that was also part of the case like the ssd, just slide the loupdeck and done. Great video btw. 👌👌🙌🙌👍👍👏👏

this is very cool, as for the cable, you could print a little clip to hold it to the side much like the clips to hold wires along the body of pro video cameras

Very impressive. With the bits you had to hot glue, could you have put heat set inserts into the holes and then screwed through them?
@FlatLanderTech4 ай бұрын
Your absolutely right I should have used some of those threaded inserts that you can head with a soldering iron, I'm unsure if that works with resin printers but ill look into this thank you!

This is so awesome. Idk anything about ordering 3d prints. I wonder if you'd ever consider selling these on etsy or something, I'd definitely buy it
@FlatLanderTech4 ай бұрын
@not0evn I've definitely considered it however for a product such as this I'm unsure how to deal with all the techy components required, if for example the SSD caddies are no longer available in the buyers country, its quite reliant on the products I used to be available. perhaps for some of the simpler projects that don't require all too much stuff, or maybe selling it as a complete package but that's quite a large investment for me haha. let me know if you have any suggestions on this. but thank you for mentioning this, its great to know some of the audience is interested! I've put it on my to do list to look into.

I think you're using the word tolerance wrongly.
@FlatLanderTech4 ай бұрын
Hahaha, yeah, you're right. I'm using it in a more human way, I guess-like tolerance in people, relating to how much someone can handle, but then applying it to an object. XD

Really cool project. If you into making more similar stuff than def buy a resin printer, even really cheap ones +-300$ can give you much more accuracy and surface finish.... The 'resolutiion' is just imcomparable to FDM. Post processing is annoying and toxic tho...
@FlatLanderTech4 ай бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it!! ill definitely look into some resin printers, currently I live in a one bedroom apartment though so its somewhat a hassle to deal with toxic stuff but I'm sure that I can figure something out, thank you for the advice!

Nice video, ugreen and vention ( its two companies i have tested) makes great angular type-c cables so you can make smaller "deck" on the side and it will be just about 8 millimeters. What are those ssds? Name brand?
@FlatLanderTech4 ай бұрын
The ssds are from Uni Accesories, their M.2 enclosures, uniaccessories.com/products/m2-ssd-enclosure-orange Thank you for the suggestion on the USB c cables im currently working on a project that requires one so this will come in handy! glad you enjoyed it!
@JeronimoStilton144 ай бұрын
It seems like you may be using the term tolerances wrong. Increasing average wall thicknesses isn't increasing tolerances. Making a hole bigger for less of a snug fit is increasing the tolerances. Edit: Maybe not? It seems like you do hit on the tolerancing of the resin print so now I am confused lol.
@FlatLanderTech4 ай бұрын
haha I'm using the word in the same way you'd use it to describe a person or something like this, like that person has a high tolerance for pain, but then misapplying that to an object, it was a busy week apologies for the confusion :)

The hot glue pained me. For future reference you can get thread repair kits or thread coils, drill out your hole to be slightly oversized, and then "repair" the thread that never actually existed. Great project otherwise!
@FlatLanderTech4 ай бұрын
It pained me as well, Ian, haha. I even burnt my finger! Haha, no, but yeah, I was really sad. The print came out so nice, only for me to ruin it. XD Oh well, it's still working out, so that's okay. I appreciate the feedback and suggestion on the thread repair kit-I’ll look into this! it seems like a really good idea just put a metallic coil in there and then it would also look a lot more professional :)
