The key with budget systems from a used perspective is living in a location with a massive amount of parts selection at reasonable prices. But there are some great priced new parts that when paired with reasonably powerful value options can really deliver...it's all up to doing searching around your location and having realistic expectations in general.

honestly the build is really cool considering the fact that you didn't exceed the 500$ budget but I honestly think that the best budget for a good gaming computer is 600$, if we keep the same specs you chose and just add 100$ to the gpu budget the computer will turn out to be marvelous.
@BudgetBin10 сағат бұрын
Oh 100%. I do think that if we had just enough scratch to upgrade our GPU, it would do wonders for our system. I do think there is less value GPU's nowadays though, so in some ways, I like what I got. But I just feel like Arc might have a shot this next generation and change the landscape a bit. I just hope I don't eat my own words. lol.

Man, that Corsair PSU comment hit weirdly for me, after just RMAing a RM850e, which is fairly highly rated and recommended. I bought it for a PC I'm building for a relative, but it had unbearable coil whine, which I found out is a common issue with that series specifically, and made a really suspicious sound when the PC shut down. At the end every product can end up being a dud. Anyway, first time commenting, but I've been watching your channel for a bit and enjoy your stuff. Always good to come back to budget conscious builds after going "But if I spend just 40 dollars more..." seven times in a row. Suddenly the "I'm spending 300 max on the GPU, not a cent more!" turns into "Well, if it's my main hobby, and I enjoy my time with it, 1200 bucks isn't that much". Also, as I think you may have said in an earlier video of yours, there's something so nostalgic about getting the game you want to play to barely run and still having a blast. Reminds me of my turns using the family PC to play Age of Empires (1) back in the day, playing a mixtape in the background that I made by holding my tape recorder to our TV whenever a cool song came around. Good times. Anyway, again, love your content!
@BudgetBin10 сағат бұрын
Sorry to hear that you got a faulty, DOA-ish, lesser than, Corsair PSU. In a way, like you said, sometimes it can be just luck of the draw. But hey! At least that Corsair whined instead of making you whine by deleting your whole system and catching on fire! But seriously though, I have heard that series has had that common whining issue. I just hope you got a new PSU to replace it at the end of the day. And thanks. People honestly say sometimes that I, underdeliver, or that it could be done WAY better, and I never deny that. In fact, I even said in this video you have better chances getting a better result building with used parts. Otherwise that slippery slope of, "I'll just spend a little more..." does happen more often than you or I could even imagine. As for the last thing you said, I couldn't relate anymore than I do already lol. Like, the feeling of building a PC and running at 720p but getting just over 30 FPS, it takes me back. But I am glad you enjoy my vids, and I hope you see you around more. Take care!

If you are operating on a tight budget then go for a A320 motherboard. All the AM4 budget builds on KZbin recommend B450 boards, including this one, and then never never overclock the CPU, also often having boards with just two RAM slots. Just go for an A320 in this situation as you get the same amount of RAM slot, can still enable XMP, and you're not overclocking anyway. Now there's the argument about upgrading but even on higher end builds how often do you see TechTubers overlocking the CPU?
@Dylanj8795Күн бұрын
But doesn’t that limit the speed of the ram and the storage?
@voteDCКүн бұрын
@@Dylanj8795 I was able to set the XMP profiles for the 3200Mhz RAM on the A320M-K motherboard I have in my TV PC. As to storage speed I've never actually measured it but games load fast, so I'm going with it's okay.

I just spent $719 last week for a ASROCK z790, 14600k, 1tb M.2, 32gb DDR5 6400, 850W PSU, a 5.25" bay that holds and powers 2 SSD's and a HDD, Windows 11 and 5 fans. Kept my existing USB expansion 3.5, BD Drive, PC case (largely because it has expansion bays), 3tb's worth of secondary hard drives and my 3060ti. I think I could have saved another $180 more by just keeping my existing Windows 10 account and getting a 650w PSU. Perhaps even drop 5.25 thing I bought, and just let the SSD's float in my case somewhere. Ultimately, that is still just over $500, without even buying a case or GPU ;_; And I thought I was being frugal.

First of all, good video. I don't know if I would go for this build, if I had money. The main reason being the GPU. I don't trust Intel's work on drivers and I still think it's utterly insane the requirement for elastic pub when aiming for budget buyers. Anyway, I am sure this PC, even with this GPU, would destroy my computer (Lenovo laptop from 2014 with a i7-4710HQ , 16GB of RAM, GTX860M), though I have a feeling my already over 10 year old GPU might end up having longer and better driver support than this one from Intel. Joking not joking. As for older games, who knows, perhaps it will beat this Arc lol. After all Intel is too cool to care about old games. Fun video.
@BudgetBin2 күн бұрын
@@TrusteftTech I think when I re-review the Arc A380, I will try a ton of older games to see if there is any issues anymore. As of right now, it's seems better than it once was.

@@BudgetBin That's a good idea. My direct experience with Intel's graphics' drivers are with their iGPUs alone and they SUCK, if nothing else the length of time they keep releasing the drivers after the product. They (Intel) disgust me on that regard. Good luck.

Can I just say, while I love the build I would have opted to go for 1tb still, becouse it could save 20-30 bucks and another 20 on the case maybe some cheaper ram and bam you are able to fit a titan xp 11gb vram gpu if u live in the states and dont mind the used market but even if you do there are still some alternativer that are better and im sure you know it doesnt change the preformance that much aucaly not at all unless the storage is slower. isnt the rx 580 better than arc a380 ?
@BudgetBinКүн бұрын
@@Gureenu For sure! But I wanted to keep this build all "New" for the challenge sake of it, and because, while the RX 580 is a great option, I wanted to try something just a bit different since normally in build videos, it's always whats popular or the most commonly used parts. And half the time, those parts don't always go for super cheap. So, I choose the Arc A380 because, while there are other cards out there, especially used, this card works very well despite it being scary to the average PC veteran who has heard of Arc. Hopefully my next video on the GPU will alleviate those fears.

Motherboard - ASRock A520M/ac AMD4 MATX $50 CPU - Ryzen 9 3900X 12 Core/24 Thread AM4 $145 CPU Cooler - AMD Wraith AM4 stock cooler - $12 GPU - Radeon RX 6600 8MB GDDR6 RAM $120 RAM - Micron 32GB (2X16) PC4-3200 $47.99 PSU - EVGA Supernova 850 watt Modular 80+ Gold $50 NVMe - Western Digital 512GB PCIe Gen3 x4 M.2 $28 Case - EMachines T5212 Legacy OEM case - Free Storage Drive - Western Digital WD6003FZBX 6TG 3.5" HDD - Pulled from another system Total - $452.99 Which system do you think will perform better in gaming? All these parts came from EBay used over the last two weeks! I realize the Radeon 6600 is probably going to hold back the Ryzen 9 quite a bit but I can upgrade to a better GPU later if it bottlenecks the system too badly. New off-brand parts are rarely ever better than even used top grade stuff and you can get 5X the performance if you just shop around and look for good deals on used components. If you're going to blow $500 on a system then at least get one you can game on!
