Cheers mate! I think I will put together a slightly less complicated build for the next video so that it doesn’t take so long to edit!

I hadn’t tested the moss on anything before slapping it on this piece so it was a scary hour long wait until it dried 🤣

Awesome gatehouse mate. It gave lots of Ideas for DnD terrain.

Thank you! I’m not in the DnD crowd (although I have admired it from afar for a long time) so I’m never sure how much my stuff translates for DnD. Glad to hear it’s given you some inspiration!

I started this video thinking I was watching Real Terrain Hobbies or Black Magic Crafts. This is some high quality content on such a small channel! Keep making content like this, and you'll be 100k subs and beyond in no time. In order to glue foam and resin/PLA printed parts, I've found it best to cover the foam in a watered down Tamiya or AK putty. It not only allows more glues to be used, but stops paints and oils from soaking into the foam as much also. You can crumble the bricks easier after the putty has dried to add a nice aged look. Finally it also adds a nice bit of texture, but is also able to take texture if you wanted to the aluminum ball or brush, depending on your desired effect.
@microforgeminis9 ай бұрын
First of all I’m not sure how this comment slipped under the radar but thank you for the kind words. Real terrain hobbies and BMC are big inspirations of mine so that really does mean a lot. I will definitely pick up some AK putty and give it a shot. If it behaves how you describe it, then it might be really interesting to try.

I recently watched a video where a crafter used Bob Smith Industries Super Gold super glue. It works with foam and doesn't melt it. @@microforgeminis

Great build! I wish 10 mm foam was available in the U.S., your slice and slot system is genius.
@microforgeminis10 ай бұрын
It is a shame but if you have a hot wire cutter you can always cut it down. I am seriously considering going back and adapting the system for 1/2 inch foam given how much of my audience is US based

Wow! Just discovered your Channel and subscribed immediately! So where can I get this amazing score-o-matic 10k jig set? 😊
@microforgeminis10 ай бұрын
Thanks for the sub! depending on where you are in the world, you can either buy directly from me or one of my licensed merchants. the laser cutting files are included with the 3D printing files on My Mini Factory so you can also laser cut your own jigs if you have access to a laser cutter or maker space using 3mm MDF
@tabletopmika434926 күн бұрын
Very good job. I like the combination of foam and printed parts. 👍 I may get some of your jigs as soon as I can find somebody who has a laser. If you put a drop of matte medium or simply a squirt of matt varnish into your diluted PVA it won't look shiny. 😉

The building looks great! My only observation would be that the sax music at the end during the big reveal is a wee bit loud. Your airbrush work is superb as is how you use the Score-O-Matic 10000 to create the corners! Always enjoy seeing your creations. 😁

What dimension have your XPS plates? 10x100 mm but how long?
@microforgeminis9 ай бұрын
I have cut all my xps foam to 300x100x10mm thick. I find I generally don’t need pieces longer than this and it is generally pretty easy to store in bulk ready for use.
