Hey guys here is the second episode of the Tiny Camper build! My next video will be a more outdoorsy video and will be up on the channel in the next few days!! Headed out tomorrow for a couple nights in the bush so lots of new content coming! Also, stay tuned for the third episode of this build series. I’ll post it as soon as I make enough progress on the camper to put together another 10-15 min episode. Thanks for following along!

I've been enjoying your videos; think you do a great job on them. And this looks like a great start to a nice little on/off-road trailer. I've been thinking about building one for a few years now and one thing I had in mind is a ABS pipe based solar hot water system mounted on the roof. Given an extended trip, at the right time of year you might be able to get a warm shower if desired. Plenty of videos on KZbin for ideas of course. I'm interested in this waterproof coating you plan on applying, hopefully it will provide the required protection in this great province of ours. Keep up the great work.

That sounds like a good idea with the ABS pipe. Maybe something i will consider in the future!

another excellent video! I had a teardrop that looked a lot like what you are building....two things possibly you may want to consider because after a few years with mine i was thinking about these too. 1) I wished there was a pass-through door between the galley area and the sleeping area, that way i wouldn't have to go outside, especially if it was raining, just to grab a snack and 2) that there was a separate closed in area possible on the tongue that would house my batteries but with a quick disconnect so that battery removal would be easy. Also the one thing I didn't realize would be a positive, was the fact that my door opened upwards.That way when it was raining I had a dry area to stand under and cook. Anyway brother, you're doing a great job and I can't wait to see the next one!!

Awesome build! Rather than have the counter top act as a cover in the kitchen area, could it be made so it flipped out/slid out beyond the back of the trailer to allow full access to the storage space and use of the counter at the same time? If you out prepping a meal and forget to take something out you will have to clear the counter to open it back up. Just a thought

New to your channel. I though you could have the roof open so you could gain some head space and could be opened on a nice weather day. Maybe you could order a door from the camper company.

It would be nice for the roof to open for sure! I priced a new door from a camper company and it just wasn’t in the budget at this time, so I’ll design my own door, at least for the time being! Thanks for watching!

Loving the build How you planning on heating it ? I would of had to had a face bottom in the kitchen area just so I could let my legs stretch out in order get comfortable lol
@langdonoutdoors7859

No plan to install a heater as I will be running on a 12 v battery, but I may look at picking up a small propane heater to use for a bit of warmth in the fall when the weather gets colder. Luckily I am not overly tall so I have plenty of room to stretch out inside. Its about 6' 6" inside.

Really glad you decided to put your DIY project on KZbin , Its fun to watch ! Do you have an estimation on the weight it will have when done ? Between 700 et 1000 pounds? Will you need some kind of ventilation on the roof for condensation ? Thanks for the video
@langdonoutdoors7859
@langdonoutdoors7859 9 ай бұрын
Hey. I’m not too sure of the weight but I do hope to weight it once it’s all finished. I’m thinking around 1000 pounds maybe. I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not to put a vent in the roof. It would be great to help prevent condensation but also opens another area for possible leaks. I haven’t decided for sure yet. One of my windows opens so I’ll get some ventilation there

Hey, was wondering what kind of waterproof coating you used for the camper and where was it purchased?
@langdonoutdoors7859
@langdonoutdoors7859 9 ай бұрын
The waterproofing product that I’ll be using is a truck bed liner product and I’ll have all of the info about it in the next episode! I’ve watched other KZbin videos of similar builds and it seems people have had success with it in the past.

Any idea how much your camper will weigh as I drive a Ford Explorer it tows 5000 lbs and would love a small camper but with 4 wheels so I can have my Shephards travel with me and it be steady and smooth driving.

I can’t say for sure the weight at this point. I hope to get a weight on it when finished, but I’d estimate somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000-1500 pounds.
