Instead of executing an action at an arbitrary threshold, you can actually use data analysis for your brain waves to figure out what waves are made when you think of flipping the light switch, and then code your program to flip the switch when it detects that specific pattern. Hypothetically with this method you could make a smart home with as many devices as you want.

Cool video! Looks like you have about 12-16 ECG recording channels. As an alternative to using simple thresholding of pooled ECG data to predict intent, you can do the following: (1) Apply a notch filter to remove powerline electromagnetic interference (60Hz in north america) (2) Perform an FFT, bin every 5Hz from 1Hz to 150Hz. your inputs now becomes 30 x number of ECG channels. (3) Train a simple linear classifier to predict your thoughts/intent.

@queryw6982Ай бұрын
@@JDaniel-iw2qd look into the observer effect.
@JDaniel-iw2qdАй бұрын
@@queryw6982 Has nothing to do with brains. The observer effect means that a particle's behavior differs when there's an interaction in order to measure or determine it's behavior. Had a hunch this was the misconception. No, particles or outcomes don't change if we "look" at them with because human brain, they change because to look at them we have to interact with them in some way, namely other particles that can relay their data in a way we can decipher it. The observer doesn't mean us a conscious being, means our way of measuring physical phenomena.

And I don't want to be "that guy" that shuts off any idea that there is nothing but the physical realm, but lately there has been a lot of unfounded mysticism and claims that try to ground themselves in physics due to the confusing and unintuitive nature of quantum physics. Believe in what you want, just don't bend science to fit a narrative that it doesn't support. If unsure, steer clear of potential misinformation. We don't want to end up as Deepak Chopra

It's healthy to think about such things with mindfulness and gratitude in the way you're displaying, in fact, many mental health practices encourage you to do it a few times a day. There's a reason Star Wars' teachings and wisdom about "the force" resonates with many people. It is based on a path/way that already exists since ancient times and still serves to bring more balance and peace to some people still today.. especially its understanding of the nature of the universe and our relationship in our expectancies and duties to it and, it to us... to each other and everything else in between. Star Wars just portrays it in a more utilitarian and external way than the real thing. (Both of them though, have spiffy clothing and weapons though, lol)😊
