What a beautifull quiver, you are full of talents 👏👏👏 To me the side of the quiver is a montage thing, the image is just flip for the spatials raccords after the shoots (the tip of the pin is always in the quiver direction). Its prety common in the cinema

Wouldn't the shoulder the quiver is sat on be down to a way of showing the quiver for the camera? Its just a visual thing because without his bow & quiver, Legolas is just a hair model.

If you also look at Legolas's cloak clasp you will notice it is swapped back and forth in direction. This is because they flip the film back and forth depending on the direction the actor is facing in the shot. It is done many, many times throughout the trilogy.

The issue about left or right shoulder quiver in the movie is- unfortunately- a visual thing. Depending on the scene shot, the quiver have to be always prominent, present, and full with arrows to imply the readiness of Legolas to act. It is a director's thing. Depending on the shot, they switched sides to make it look cool. I am sorry...
