Want to take a moment to appreciate the duality of Sbeev. At once an intelligent factory minded player, and an aesthetic builder. Usually modpack tubers will do one or the other and leave it there, but you really do a LOT of work (literally binging for days or weeks on singular projects) in both directions to showcase what's possible and what YOU think is cool. I'm both glad you don't live in a hole in the ground and that your factories actually do work for you and aren't just basic farms. A truly balanced player.

`5:40 For filling in the drydock, you may or may not want to consider using Realistic Water Physics. Be wary if you use infinite Water sources though - The RWP mod will break them. `13:10 Again, Realistic Water Phyxics will do the trick, so long as you both have a beefy computer and don't have any infinite Water sources that you rely upon. `18:20 Come to think of it, if you decide to use RWP, then you might as well go all in with Mekanism and use it's massive Tanks like TheCaptainsTV did in his 100 days using Mekanism video.

8:56 I used to walk by this dock every day at work 😂 we were docked about 2 piers down from that. At the time they had this really old ship that sat there elevated about 20 feet off the ground on blocks. It was a pretty impressive deal.

For the rendering issues just use Entity culling mod. It traces your camera movements to understand whether to load or not entities.

If i remember correctly, you can void fluids by just pumping them into a hose pulley which is in a big enough body of that fluid, kind of the opposite of how you can get infinite of any fluid by pumping out.

If you wanted colored lights or something of the sort you could try the Shrimple shader pack, its super light weight and basically only changes light colors and shading, so at most it would take off one frame.

To solve the problem of voiding water I've seen someone else use pistons on the output end of the pipe to overwrite the source blocks as they are pumped out. This could be scaled up using contraptions attached to a mechanical piston or a gantry carriage, since moving contraptions break/destroy blocks when they are placed and revert to regular blocks. The second idea I just had was to use the nether to evaporate the water. Basically, if you pump water into a train and send it into the nether you can then just pump all of it out and it disappears into thin air. Alternatively I suppose you could use the teleporter tank to move the water cross-dimensionally, which would be about as simple as using a liquid trash can but wouldn't require adding another mod.

If you build various warships I highly recommend building Town class and Leander class light cruisers, part of their design requirements was trade protection and escort, also both classes were built in significant numbers. For larger vessels heavy cruisers of the county, New Orleans, Takao or Zara class would be good choices. Battleships I would look at any triple turrets design like the North Carolinas, South Dakota’s, Littorios or older dreadnaughts/super dreadnaughts like the Queen Elizabeth’s or Fuso.

dudebro, you have to add create ore excavation, it has a config to set the frequency of invisible ore veins and the value of them (its basically identical to the excavator from immersive engineering, just smaller and simpler) also when the testing ship was "immovable" it actually wasnt, it acted like a vanilla boat and simply moved much slower, just far FAR slower than a typical boat on land. im sorry im being a nerd.

Hey man, if you are really going to build a battleship i recommend starting with something smaller like a tennessee class or a colorado class battleship, because they are smaller and easier to build and maneuver than a bismarck or an iowa but still pack a VERY heavy punch.

If you download shaders with rtx/ray tracing capabilities such as rethinking voxels (if they work with your version) you can get colored lights, from what ive tested it works REALLY well with other mods!

Funnily enough, I'm playing your modpack (modified to fit some of my likes) and I knew you'd like the molten vents as soon as I added them! Sadly though I had to remove love and war and simple clouds... The first would crash the world after I had built a simple ammo factory, the second any time it would rain over a biome that is not supposed to have precipitation (like a desert. Sadly it's a known bug and will be hopefully fixed soon-ish). But hey, at least it gave me an excuse to add scorched guns!

Actually, for colored lighting there is Shimmer mod. It may be a bit janky and need much manual tuning, but not only does it offer colored lights, it also features bloom (the light "surrounds" the source), and it is what modern gregtech uses to look absolutely stunning. And it also allows to add emissive textures to the blocks. Basically all things lighting, even without shaders

To Pump the water in and out of the ocean you can literally just put a normal pipe into the ocean. Pipes dont try to fill up an area compared to pulleys. Pumping in also works because it will only drain the one block it is ajascent to. 13:18

For the gates at the end of the dry dock, at least in the yard I worked at, they are actually barges. When they need to be in place they are filled with water and sunk into a mount. When they need to be moved, they are pumped out and float up to be towed out of the way. Also, if you just stick an open pipe in the ocean then it can push or pull an infinite amount of water. Should also work for water in the dry dock, an open pipe at the water level or maybe a block above to fill and an open pipe at the bottom will drain it. you do still need pumps but those can be hidden underground like real dry docks.

If you want to use a ship to use battleship guns but if the pc can’t handle it, you could build monitor class ships. A couple massive guns but overall shallow draft in comparison to ships armed with similar caliber guns (some notable monitor class ships include the “HMS Lord Clyde”, which was armed with a singular 18 inch gun.)

Even though it also takes a considerable amount of time to either drain or fill a dry dock in real life, so slow is kinda "immersive". I cant think of any survival friendly mods that can help you out. But there is something else you can do, that'll be somewhat friendly to real life. Let one dock stay dry and one flooded. That way you could have a partially finished ship build sitting in the dry dock and just schematicannon the finished ships in where ever. And using the glory of video editing, it'll all be fine :-)

For entities theres a config u can chance to prevent them rendering outside ur render distance, u can change it to what u want it to be.
