Large metal shipping containers like that didn't really become a thing until after WWII, when a large attempt to standardize the shipping industry was undertaken. Prior to that cargo was mostly moved in large wooden crates/barrels which were loaded into boxcars or ships. Then again, as you said, they look really good there! The nice thing is that at the end of the day this is an industrial fantasy universe. Yes they didn't have metal containers like that in the early industrial revolution, but they also didn't have jetpacks or mining and tunnelmaking machines or airships. Do what looks good!
@mrShift_0044
@mrShift_0044 11 ай бұрын
You could also consider that this is some fantasy post industrial society with European-ish vibes and this city is like 200 years old and everyone already hooked up to a satellite TV but all the old timey factory buildings are still used because they are a) quite simple and do not require much maintenance, b)still frequently used (by player aka The Businessman) so why get rid of them and c) are quite nostalgic and cool little contraptions, so it attracts tourists, lmao. I swear there is like a million places like that in England alone, so why not do it here!

Beardy, I just had an brief idea, but once the mining town farms have been built you could make a control tower with the redstone links to power on and off the farms, a fun and silly way to control them if you don't want them to auto run, plus it's over complicating which is, lets be honest what create is all about

20:00 with these kind of distances, you should see about adding the redstone alloy mod, it lets you place solid redstone wires that can go on walls and ceilings, it also gives you the option of embedding the redstone into walls and can have muliple different signals be tranfered via the same space due to mulit coloured lines. I think the mod is called redstone alloy, I don't remember. I know its part of Create Above and Beyond and used to be in Technic!

Going to be honest, as great as the limestone factory is, the irrational side of me can’t get over the fact it's technically a dirt building and therefore ew. Mud bricks probably would have been superior if possible to grab it. But in all seriousness, it looks lovely. Anyway, I'm sure Flying Pebble will love the new work for them and resources to transport. Also I'm sure Flying Beardsman will tell Logomotive and the others all about what happened with their caboose despite your wishes. Im glad Blazing Beardsman and Flying Pebble finally got their well desurved names too! Either way, the railroad grows.

When you're running machines like that using a vault immediately below the generator as a buffer can really help. Basically have all of them funnelled into the vault, and then one funnel pulling amounts out whenever it hits a threshold configured on it. So you end up with neat stacks of material at a steady rate rather than random small amounts

You should add create renewable ores to your modpack. It adds a bunch of recipes to automate tuff, deepslate, and create-exclusive minerals like crimsite and veridium. Problem is it is coded into fabric (fabric uses a different measure for fluids for some reason) so you'd have to change the code yourself to make it fit for forge (unless you're already in fabric)
