i found out that its never really a good idea to grow bullgrass near where your herbivores main food sources are, they just run rampant when the food gets eaten and no new food winds up spawning for the fish, instead you have to control the types of soil around your "gardens" so you have a nice layer of coral to separate from the invasive grasses. they don't seem to eat those grasses, but rather, seem to use them for hiding from predators. Ive had a lot of success maintaining long to ecosystems this way, so i hope this helps someone
