i use161in1 with unibios 4.0 and Pick'n Mix mode ! instant swaping games... and for the missing one, i've got a nice library with shockbox :) Watching this shelf filled with pretty shockbox... i bought other games (already install on the 161in1) but only those i play a lot ! Do i am a collector ? NO... i'm just a player, and certainly a NeoGeo Fan :)

If you buy the kit then it's super simple to do. If you build the kit from scratch then it's going to be quite challenging

When you brush the board with the toothbrush are you using isopropyl alcohol or anything or just the toothbrush?

IPA and a good medium bristle toothbrush to clean off flux and residue before and after soldering.

around 250 for the kit and the mv1c mobo. Printed the shell myself so a couple bucks in filiment / electricity there :D

I believe you'd have clearance issues with a vertical holder. flush is the way to go on this, it's not hard to just do a little scraping.

butchering that board is sacrilegious. All for the consolized MVS, but you shouldn't do anything you can't undo. also, painful watching such bad soldering.

I literally just added a coin cell holder and removed the heatsink from the audio amp. Everything is reversible.
