You’re gonna have to paint it with some tree protecting paint on all sides to prevent it from getting damaged by water. IT IS CRUCIAL. OSB is very fragile without paint.

From what i know, that stuff is waterproof. People also build terrariums for chameleons out of it, wich require a lot of humidity/water drops to drink.
@johnstrae7392
@johnstrae7392 4 жыл бұрын
Lea Holle it’s not waterproof by it self. It will need some protection. It’s made out of small pieces of wood so water can easily get in some of the holes. If that happens it will slowly rotten from the inside.
@TheRealDiseone
@TheRealDiseone 4 жыл бұрын
Totally agree it needs to be waterproofed as Chip really blows when it gets wet, and then will crumble apart, when I did mine years ago, i bought some water proof paint that you use in a Bathroom, my boards lasted 10-12years before I took them down.

*osb plywood if not ideal for an exterior application.. you’re going to need a weatherproofing type stain or sealant at least on the edges or it will delaminate in time.

This is true. But they also used tounge and grove osb and that's usually used for flooring. Some of that is waterproof and can lay out in your front yard for years without swelling or buckling.

With the drastic changes in the weather in your area, you may consider covering the walls with a treatment that resists water. One thing about particle board is that it warps easily when wet. That will give you headaches in the future..

You could lengthen the graffiti part of the wall by cutting plywood to fit over the trim around the door of the shed as well as the door. It wouldn’t be perfectly smooth but it would be longer. There are pros and cons to both. Cheers!

Congratulations for building this new wall 😋😁 I was just thinking if it is possible to put a board on the garage door as well so that you can open and close the door at the same time extent the wall a bit more to have more space for your letters. Don't know if that's possible. Just a thought 💭 😀

Verry cool idea. Makes me think, iv’e got 20 meters of length in my garden. Can be awesome. I do think you’d better create an rig with “2by4’s” to hang your wood sheets. And you probably should have primed your wood (inclusing the back) or is it waterproofed already?

Very cool! Puts my graffiti wall to shame. For the billboard wall, you might have to build a ramp or walk path so you don’t have to use a ladder on the right side. I’m very excited to see the work coming off this! Definitely motivates me to finish version two of my wall...

My parents also built me a wall when I was 14 so I could paint . They saw the art in graffiti and said don’t you ever damage anyone’s private property . Back then most of my friends only painted on the back of factory’s along the train line anyway . I ended up doing both . Having a private wall gives you unlimited practice and time to learn tricks like letting a quarter of the air out of the can to do super thin lines and putting thin washers under the cap so you can’t press the cap down as far so you get half spray . I think as long as you have enough cans to practice often you will always get better can control and end up doing more creative pieces✌️❤️🇦🇺❤️✌️keep up the great vids and enjoy your wall 👍👏👍👏

Why don't you cover the all wall with OSB? I think for door and the smaller wall part on the left side of the door. If you cover it, you get a bigger spot, if the garage door is closed. Also you can cover the storage, with a removable wall piece. If you paint, you put the cover in front of the storage. If you need something from storage just put out the cover, take out what you need and put back the cover.
