Great book for a beginner . kzbin.infoUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ this book really starts from the beginning, as in it explains what basic tools are and how to use them. But when it gets to the art of creating joints and how and when to use them this book really starts to teach you something. At least that was my experience.

16:58 Best tip you will ever learn. Using a ziplock back to line your sprayer container...holy crap! So much easier for cleanup and if you have extra you can easily transfer it back into the container, nip the corner and pipe it back into the original container. This is what learned from your video, nothing to do with the build, which is awesome btw, but I'm taking that zip lock bag idea.

I saw him do it and I didn't even put 2 and 2 together. I hate cleaning my container after use. This just saved me soo much headache

I love that you use iron on edge banding. About time someone exposed the easy secrets of finished edges. Also, just a little tip with drawer boxes. Since you're cutting the groove for the bottom have you ever thought about using the same depth to score the sides of the drawer box? Its an easy dado for drawer boxes and much easier to build the boxes when assembling the box rather than using the pocket holes. Food for thought. I love you simple projects and how you lay everything out for the average joe.

Hey Mr build it I was watching you video here and I had a question. When you reference the dimensions of the carcass it's 4foot long 18in deep and 20in tall. And later you build three 8in tall drawers. Now is it just me or are all three boxes total height 24in? I'm trying to build this for my newborn due in September. Any help would be much appreciated. Great content, courage and sweat💯

Awesome build. I have a suggestion...put a small trim in around the interior of the cabinet portion to hide the LED strip. Not sure the pain in the ass factor, but it would help clean the look and still illuminate the interior well...I think.

Instead of using a knife for the edge banding, one or two solid passes with a chisel works best. Doesn't have to be sharp, just make sure to keep the edge of the chisel flat
@DiamondmastersMC4 жыл бұрын
A plane blade works even better. I used to work in a cabinetry factory and they just zipped through excess edge banding. The wider profile also makes it easier to keep if flat. A sharp one works best.
@anand89054 жыл бұрын
@@DiamondmastersMC I just prefer to use a chisel because of the grip, 1 1/2" chisel is easy to keep flat. I'll try a plane blade next cabinet job I do cheers
