It’s kinda crazy that the core i3/i5/i7 line up of processors is so old that it still technically supports windows xp

It’s not about the processors nor the mainboard chipset. It’s mainly the manufacturer support and drivers availability. Theoretically if some manufacturer would write and release XP drivers for 13th gen Intel, the Windows XP would still work. Sounds crazy and impossible, i know. But trust me it’s 100% doable.

Literally installing Windows XP is pretty difficult on my laptop,because 32 bit is not supported on my laptop,probably sp2 64 bit xp should work(if it can or somehow my laptop doesnt detect my windows xp inside.)

Pretty easy on ebay dell 7010/9010. Throw in an ssd. And decent gpu like 750ti or titan x (modded driver) and or modified case, sata drivers for xp. Retro rig. It's not cheap but win98 ones are more expensive then xp ones especially if you build yourself

i wanted to make mention of this just to make some corrections. 4th gen intel cpus will work on xp and i know from experience. the gtx titan x maxwell will also work with a quick modifcation to the gtx 960 driver for xp.

Dont use an SSD with windows XP. Windows XP lacks TRIM support (which was introduced with Windows 7 I believe). TRIM is incredibly important when using an SSD, as without it, the OS wont unload sectors which will wear down the SSD much faster.
