Retired and getting really busy now that the weather is finally cooperating. Busy as hell right now with garden/flower bed signs, laser engraving coasters and cornhole boards for an upcoming show and shows. But these will make it into my space in most of the shows, look pretty easy to make. Just been really busy getting caught up and haven't really thought about newer projects until i watch a couple of you guys on here. Thanks for the ideas

I like how the sides have a break of end grain since you used butt joints. I think that's a nice design feature that makes those sides more interesting. I think you could do the torch trick with water color and upsell these in pine. You might offer that as an upgrade if you put the pine one on sale.

Love both projects. The dowel maker also looks like it works great. The dowels and the corner splines really set the shelf off. I don’t know if I’ve missed it in my binge watching but have you ever done a shelf with a propagation vase in it ( the large test tube that fits though a shelf to root plants or hold flower buds? Thanks for sharing and everything does look Therrific!
I think I seen another "shorts" idea..... the pop a brad in it's ass part is golden lol great vid Mr. Viking!

Using that flush cut saw with two edges, it is a good idea to tape the teeth on the other side. You avoid possibly scratching a sanded finished piece, as those teeth can extend a smidgen.

Another great job. It always amazes me that you can find so many things to make. The diamond shelf almost looks like a project for that box of wall boards i bought. I think everyone said it was oak and maple. That are a little small though. 1/2 x 4 exact size.... Theyre a bit small but i may try it anyways. Thank you for all the great ideas my friend.

I love the clean look with the straight lines your projects have - definately going to try these builds. How would you go about hangning the 3-diamond shelf on the wall? Any recommandations?
@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks6 ай бұрын
It would most likely need a backer of some sort , or possibly key slots
@jonpaulhagen9397 ай бұрын
How would you hang the first box shelf on the wall?
@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks7 ай бұрын
It’s not a hanging shelf , more of a counter , or floor deal , however I’m sure it can be done with key slots or perhaps another way

I like the first project, but I have thoughts...I don't prefer the 2-board thickness in the middle. I figure since you're cutting rabbets, maybe just make the boards longer and cut dados...then you can have 1-board thickness everywhere...thoughts...suggestions?

I always look forward to your content. Actually, every day i see your vids pop up, it makes my day a lot more relaxed, just knowing i can watch another relaxed vid, with some good content, humor and ideas. Dispite we are from the same disco era, i am not a big fan of all the jumpimg around of the camera. Offcourse you have to try something new, to see if it will atract and perhaps appeal to a bigger audience. I myself, foumd it too much and therefor skipped to the second project after a few minutes, to find the same thing happening after you did your merge drop... I will skip this vid for now, because it makes me dizzy, but sure look forward to you next vids. Please do not get me wrong, it is your channel, so... you do you... But i have to say, as fan of your content, who really wishes you do well in future (purely for selfish reasons, because then i can continue emjoying it), i hope you return to the more relaxed way of story telling. I rather have you made this vid 45 min. Again... just my personal, selfish observation. Thanks for all the effort though.👍👍👍

You should totally do call backs to previous videos while doing over voice. Just have to do some sort of spread sheet of each video going forward and eventually back. Your already editing these. Maybe even able to do some of your lives that I don’t watch but may if I know there’s a callback. I would assume there maybe others like me. Which if we watch them, fully or partially, more money for you, then keep the money or hiring an editor or camera person not that you need help. Just an idea.

Please Please Please stop the obnoxious music. Why do youtubers feel that every "dead air" moment needs to be filled with the same 3 obnoxious cords of "music". We can handle the silence, please let us enjoy it, or if you rather narrate everything. I like your videos and have the same complaint across youtube. Thanks for listening and hope you do away with the "music" (I use that term very lightly...
