It is a shame they can't make their cert money selling books or whatever. But it does make sense that they need to send a few officials out and verify all the measurements and rules are followed. 2 people controlling might be a different category. Also the frame dragged the whole time. And they had to put their feet down. So ultimately it makes more sense for them to just do what they did and make a funny interesting video than try and do anything official.

It probably would have actually been rideable if the rear section with Craig was on a pivot and he could steer, similar to how extra large loads do with tractor trailers. Though that would have required some really weird engineering, like having the rear half of the bike pointing backwards and reversing the drive or something haha. Great stuff guys, I love it.

I think you could add about a foot to the length by adding in a 'vertically hinged' section just in front of the rear bike section to gain articulation and thus a steerable ability to get around corners. Much like the long ladder trucks used by the fire department. Ride safe and thanks for trying to bring the record back.

I give you guys huge props for the effort. I'd like to see it totally off the ground and in the light. I would've made the frame rainbow up three or four feet and then put a couple of cables below it tightened up for structure. Use steel for the beginning and end but use aluminum tubing for the upper pieces. Awesome video.

@@chillyfingers123 no doubt. One of the most stout chassis from that era though, so I am not surprised. I beat mine to death daily for 80k and she would still run over 120, steady as a rock. The only problem with those bikes was the dam charging system. Ate batteries like a monster until I put a tender on and plugged it in nightly... Loved that bike.
