I get the feeling that Lilith's "sacrifice" is actually part of the eternal torture. He'll waste his second chance on a futile attempt to get together with a demoness who was a huge part of his torment. If that's the case, it's a brilliantly subtle addition to the story.

If Lilith is the Lilith known from Christian lore, then she really is evil and is tricking Michael. Either way this story doesn’t really have a happy ending since Michael will waste his second life and even if Lilith is good it’s unlikely he’ll end up in the same place again

It's always cool when a story you narrate ends with determination like here, because as the outro song plays I can imagine a series of follow-up imagines like an old type slide show switching to the rhythm of the music. For example here I imagined pictures of the protag graduating with a serious face, then pouring over rare old tomes, and finally as an old man opening a portal to hell and entering with a squad of mercenaries armed to the teeth to find and rescue Lilith.

It could be a very cool story, but it's one which he would almost certainly be led to commit acts which would, once again, assure his damnation. The reason he was paroled from hell in the first place had nothing to do with her not informing him about the pact. That was just a clever lie. The real reason is that she tampered with his free will when she forced him to walk to the kitchen and get the knife at the beginning. It's highly likely that she also shares the awareness with the demon who was torturing him the entire time he was in hell, and she's maneuvering to create a serious case of Stockholm Syndrome in a man weak enough to fall for her clever trick.

This was good. Even something of an unexpected romance which is rare in this genre. It would be great if the writer chooses to revisit these characters in the future. There are so many places the writer could take this tale. Could easily stretch this out over a few more hours.

It even makes the listener/reader contimplate their own choices in life and what would we do in his place. A true 10 out of 10 story that could have possible sequels where Micheal continues his journey to save lilith. There is so many ways it could go from here. Everything from it all being an elaborate ruse to get him to do what Lilith really what she wants him to do. To a long battle to free her from both heaven & hels grasps so they can be together.

Spoiler The story doesn't really deliver on the title per se. Kid had a coma dream about being some impulsive guy who didn't even do the things he was punished for, he just thought for a moment that they should happen and then immediately regretted them - and he doesn't even want to be in hell, what he wants is for someone else (who might not even exist, and if they do they would've died of old age by the time the story takes place by the story's own rules) not to be in hell. So in short, the thing he thinks he wants to be punished for is _being capable of empathy._ Not even _having_ empathy, since they never tell us anything about the other person, just being _capable_ of it.

Those upcoming projects sound really exciting. I have listened to most of the ones you mentioned but your narration makes it well worth a relisten. Really excited for Penpel (really creepy one), Best Friend in Alt Dimension (Wonderful world building) and Tales from the Gas Station(just a fun story to listen to). If you are looking for suggestions I'd recommend ''We Discovered a New Island in the Pacific Ocean'', I believe a Dr.Creepen fan wrote it and sent it to him but that story was extremely creative and I enjoyed how it expanded it's scope in a natural way.
